The military has had a love affair with acronyms for decades. They allow busy troops to compress a complex situation into an easy-to-use phrase. For instance, IED (Improvised Explosive Devices) or EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal.)
Here is the DOD (Dept. of Defense) newest acronym: CNIDODCCSAAPWSVCSA. It stands for: “Commission on the Naming of Items of the Department of Defense that Commemorates the Confederate States of America or Any Person Who Served Voluntarily with the Confederate States of America.”
IN THE SHOW-ME STATE
Theresa Byrd, age 70, has organized a group she calls Clay Countians for Inclusion. Her group has just offered $10,000 to the City of Liberty, Missouri to remove a Confederate obelisk from the Fairview and New Hope Cemetery.
IN THE OLD DOMINION
Back in 2015 the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles recalled all of the Sons of Confederate Veterans license plates and re-issued new plates that did NOT feature a Confederate Flag.
|
|
Now a new effort is afoot, sponsored by Virginia's Democrats, to eliminate the above pictured plates because they find the image of "Virginia's Gentleman" to be "offensive."
There was no one at the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles willing to comment.
MONUMENT PROTECTION PRESERVED - FOR NOW
Alabama's House Judiciary Committee voted 6 to 4 to reject the legislation that would make revisions to the 2017 Memorial Preservation Act.
IN THE PEACH STATE
A skanky politician named Shelly Hutchinson has authored and filed House Bills 237 and 238 stating that taxpayer dollars should not be used to fund and upkeep Confederate monuments.
If adopted, her Bill would jeopardize Confederate monuments state-wide.
IN THE SUNSHINE STATE
Kirby-Smith’s School Advisory Council selected the following names to appear on the ballot to be voted on from March 15 to March 29:
- Springfield Middle School
- Springfield STEAM Academy
- Springfield M.S. for STEAM and Advanced Studies
- Discovery Middle School
- Kirby-Smith Middle School
Kirby-Smith’s community balloting will take place at the school from March 15 to March 29. So there is still time to vote to keep the name Kirby-Smith.
IN THE BAKED BEAN STATE
Northhampton School Superintendent John Provost has sicked the FBI onto a group of about a dozen students at JFK Middle School because they set up a facebook page that they call the “JFK White Student Union.”
The facebook page was set up by the students in response to last week's School Board meeting where the Board discussed banning Confederate flags and clothing.

NON-HERITAGE NEWS:
In last week's issue we accidentally omitted the name of the 70-year-old 25-time Grammy-winner told Oprah about his plans to live in Ghana indefinitely as part of his efforts to shield his lineage of grandchildren and great grandchildren from "racial injustice" in the U.S.
It was Stevie Wonder.
NOT IN OKLAHOMA
Governor Kevin Stitt signed an executive order Monday to protect the state's oil and gas industry from a Washington power grab.
Executive Order 2021-03 highlights Oklahoma’s role as a global leader in energy production as well as the state’s successful “all of the above” strategy that has reduced carbon dioxide emissions to levels below the national average while producing the most affordable energy in the United States.
Energy production is the backbone of Oklahoma’s economy,” said Gov. Stitt. “My executive order sends a clear message to the Biden Administration that threatening to destroy Oklahoma jobs and our constitutional ability to develop our oil and gas is unacceptable. We will not be passive in responding to systematic attacks on Oklahoma values.”
EQUALITY MY A@%
The Equality Act (HB 5) has passed the US House of Representatives and was sent to the Senate on Monday. "President" Biden has communicated that he will sign the bill and his administration has communicated the law is needed to reduce discrimination against the LGBT community.
What is the bill all about and why are so many from all vantage points speaking out against it? There are many parts of the ‘Equality Act’—expansive counseling choice ban, removal of religious freedom protections against adopting trans ideology, removal of the significant scientific reality of biological sex as the basis of bodily identity, and expansion beyond anything yet seen of transgender ideas being embedded into a deeply significant portion of law—The Civil Rights Act of 1964. At the same time, this bill also seeks to codify abortion and criminalize conscience rights of medical professionals who object by using the Civil Rights Act law to do so.
This bill is so far reaching and offensive that legal groups are at the ready to file lawsuits. This bill is bringing lesbian feminists alongside conservative Christians to reject this bill. It is being condemned by some feminist groups, secular news outlets, some individuals who have transitioned, others who have detransitioned, parents—both liberal and conservative, conscience rights groups in medical fields, and others.
Please let your Senator know that you would like them to vote against the Equality Act- HB 5. Again, there are plenty of reasons--religious freedom, children’s health and welfare, LGB rights, parents’ rights, etc.--all of which are targets of this bill.
IN THE YELLOWHAMMER STATE
Breaking from other Southern GOP governors, Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey extended her state’s mask order for another month
AND POSSIBLY ONLY TWO?
And if you think having one company printing and selling over 1/3 of all books is a dangerous proposition, consider that Amazon currently prints and sells 49% of them. That leaves only about 15% of the book market left to anyone and everyone else.
SPEAKING OF BOOKS
The estate of Dr. Seuss said it would no longer publish six of his books because they contained "offensive imagery."
DID YOU KNOW?
For years, artificial cacti have lined the sandy roadsides of Arizona. They look real at first glance but tucked inside are antennas and radio equipment that provide 4G wireless connectivity. Large “hiding” structures like this, which in this case are about 24 feet tall, have become so good it's sometimes hard to tell the real cacti from the fakes.
5G technology operates at a higher millimeter wave frequency than 4G, so installations must be set up every couple of hundred feet. So you can't quite put 5G in a pretty box, or cactus. The technology needs to be out in the open on main streets, residential roads and frankly, everywhere. In San Antonio, Texas for example, they now use normal street lights.

All those who work to help Communist China to dominate the U.S. do not live across the water somewhere. Many of them were born and raised in the good old U S of A. Look at what is going on in Sodom on the Potomac with the Harris/Biden Regime.
The watchword for this regime seems to be “America Last, for ever and always!”
Biden’s main interest in China, along with everything else he has done seems to be more financial then anything else–like, what can the Chinese Reds do for his family financially? The people behind Biden who pull his strings are much more interested in a Communist China that can and will dominate the U.S. His vice-president and Obama are two that come to mind in this area.
However, not all those that help Red China to practice domination of this country are Marxists–at least not on the surface. Some might only be interested, like Biden, in what Red China can do for their bank accounts.
It is getting more and more difficult in our day to know just who you can trust anymore. Some who have genuinely seemed conservative are doing things that harm this country to the benefit of Red China.
Someone sent me an article by Tom Dees from the National File for February 24th that spoke to this. Mr. Dees wrote:
“Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s green energy policies paved the way for companies like GH America and Goldwind Americas, both with deep ties to the Chinese Communist Party, to profit millions from tax abatements and Renewable Energy Credits at the taxpayer’s expense…The investments gave the Chinese government direct access to Texas’ energy grid and sensitive national security information, including security assessments affecting the grid’s health and performance. National File previously reported on the threat that Chinese energy companies pose to Texas’ energy grid and national security. In a statement to National File, Cary Cheshire, President of Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, dubbed Governor Abbott’s slew of green proposals, ‘Abbott’s Green New Deal.’ Cary suggested, ‘Despite sitting on some of the world’s largest deposits of reliable and dependable fuels, Gov. Greg Abbott and the Texas state government have been administering their own Green New Deal by doling out over $10 billion in taxpayer dollars to subsidize operators of wind and solar energy. The state-administered Green New Deal has undermined the strength of our electric grid while transferring wealth from taxpayers and ratepayers to crony insiders and foreign governments.”
Dees continued: “The Daily Mail dubbing it ‘deeply troubling’ recorded Goldwind America’s deep ties to the Chinese government in June of 2020, noting that 40% of Goldwin’s top investors were known members of the Communist Party.” You mean to tell me Governor Abbott was not aware of this? Bet he was and just didn’t care.
A Dallas businessman who supported Abbott in 2014 said: “Abbott has allowed the Dragon in our backyard! Communist China is heavily invested in our wind and solar farms.” My my, what a surprise!
I read an article recently about some Chinese outfit that not long ago bought something like 130,000 acres in West Texas, somewhere just west of Del Rio. I’d be willing to bet that lots of good West Texans would not be real happy with this development. Some of this land has to be along the border–just made to order for Biden’s new oncoming crop of illegal immigrants. Wonder if all these new illegals will wear face masks and practice social distancing. Probably not–those rules are only for stupid Americans. They won’t apply to Biden’s illegal hordes.
However you look at it, the great State of Texas is being sold out from under the booted feet of Texans and handed piecemeal to the new erstwhile attackers of the Alamo–the Communist Chinese–and it would seem that the current governor of Texas loves to have it so.

We Americans have always assumed a few things about other Americans, at least since that great unifying moment after our victory in WWII. We assumed that we all agree that this is the Home of the Brave, Land of the Free, and that In God We Trust. We all believed in The American Dream, the Rule of Law, majority rule, and that we are the greatest nation ever just 'cause.
Thinkers, pundits, and prophets have warned us for just as long that this is in fact not the case and warned us of the great threat of the American Left to our view of America. But when we defeated the Soviet Union back in the late eighties we imagined that any existential threat from the Left had indeed passed. Good times ahead.
But after 2020 the Common Man now understands that maybe 20% of Americans not only envision a different America, but actively loathe the America that he grew up loving and believing in. And that maybe another 30% are Carnivorous Sheep, indifferent and willing to give up anything, including a legitimate democracy, in exchange for Bread and/or Circuses.
Living with this new Radical Left is akin to living in an ancestral home with a brother gone insane who is determined to drive you from the house or, failing that, to burn it to the ground. He's your brother and you thought he loved you, but every time you turn around you see smoke coming from beneath a door. You rush to put out the fires but he is getting bolder and smarter. There is smoke damage throughout, and there are few rooms remaining where the charring has not climbed the walls or embraced the furniture.
And now you hear him in the basement. Laughing and talking to himself. Banging around. And what's that smell. Dammit! Is that diesel?
If you wont permit him to remodel as he sees fit, he'll be glad to rebuild from scratch.
The Radical American Left can hardly lose. What we on the Right have to decide is whether or not we are going to do what must be done to save our home.

FROM THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS
C.S. Lewis wrote these words in his book “The Screwtape Letters” nearly 79 years ago. Amazing how this could have been written today:
|
|
′′One young devil asked the old man: "How did you manage to bring so many souls to hell?"
The old devil answered: "I instilled fear in them!"
Answers the youngster: "Great job!
And what were they afraid of? Wars? Hunger?"
Answers the man: "No, they were afraid of the disease!"
For this the youngster asked: "Does this mean they didn't get sick? Are they not dead? There was no rescue for them?"
The old man answered: "but no . . . they got sick, died, and the rescue was there."
The young devil, surprised, answered: "Then I don't understand???"
The old man answered: "You know they believed the only thing they have to keep at any cost is their lives. They stopped hugging, greeting each other. They've moved away from each other. They gave up all social contacts and everything that was human! Later they ran out of money, lost their jobs, but that was their choice because they were afraid for their lives, that's why they quit their jobs without even having bread. They believed blindly everything they heard and read in the papers.
They gave up their freedoms, they didn't leave their own homes literally anywhere. They stopped visiting family and friends. The world turned into such a concentration camp, without forcing them into captivity. They accepted everything!!!
Just to live at least one more miserable day . . . And so living, they died every day!!! And that's how it was very easy for me to take their miserable souls to hell..... ′′

SLAVERY ENDED 130 YEARS AGO

The former NFL player Herschel Walker on Wednesday said Black Americans should not receive reparations for slavery.
A virtual congressional hearing on the issue was being held for House Resolution 40, sponsored by Democratic Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas, which would create a commission to study reparation proposals.
Walker, a standout athlete at the University of Georgia who won the Heisman Trophy in 1982 before launching a long professional football career, questioned the logistical feasibility of reparations and dismissed the idea itself as divisive.
"We use Black power to create white guilt," he said early in his opening statement. "My approach is biblical. How can I ask my Heavenly Father to forgive me if I can't forgive my brother?"
He added: "Reparations teach separation. Slavery ended over 130 years ago. How can a father ask his son to spend prison time for a crime he committed?"
After calling America "the greatest country in the world" and "a melting pot of a lot of great races," Walker, a longtime friend of former President Donald Trump who was a featured speaker at the 2020 Republican National Convention, then launched into the practicality of reparation payments.
"Reparations, where does the money come from?" he asked the House Judiciary Committee subcommittee. "Does it come from all the other races except the Black taxpayers? Who is Black? What percentage of Black must you be to receive reparations? Do you go to 23andMe or a DNA test to determine the percentage of Blackness?"
He added: "Some Black immigrants weren't here during slavery, nor their ancestors. Some states didn't even have slavery."
Concluding his opening statement, he said: "I feel it continues to let us know we're still African American, rather than just American. Reparation or atonement is outside the teaching of Jesus Christ."
Reparations have been part of the national dialogue for years, with supporters arguing that the US has never atoned for the forced labor of slavery and lands taken away from Black Americans over the course of generations.
The writer Ta-Nehisi Coates explored the idea in "The Case for Reparations," his 2014 article for The Atlantic, which urged the country to confront its past.
"An America that asks what it owes its most vulnerable citizens is improved and humane," he wrote. "An America that looks away is ignoring not just the sins of the past but the sins of the present and the certain sins of the future. More important than any single check cut to any African American, the payment of reparations would represent America's maturation out of the childhood myth of its innocence into a wisdom worthy of its founders."
The issue became a focal line of questioning for Democratic presidential candidates as they started to enter the 2020 campaign, especially with Black Americans serving as a bedrock of the party.
The issue became even more prominent last summer after the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis prompted a wave of racial and social-justice reckonings across the country and increased recognition of the Black Lives Matter movement.
There are several ideas for how reparations might work, though the Review of Black Political Economy estimated that a sufficient reparations package would cost roughly $12 trillion and give each descendant of slavery $254,782.
The House Judiciary Committee's Democratic chairman, Rep. Jerry Nadler, characterized House Resolution 40 as a starting point, saying the proposal "sets forth a process by which a diverse group of experts and stakeholders can study the complex issues involved and make recommendations."
"The discussion of reparations is a journey in which the road traveled is almost more important than the exact destination," he added.
The White House said last week that President Joe Biden would back a study of the issue.
"He certainly would support a study of reparations," the White House press secretary, Jen Psaki, said. "He understands we don't need a study to take action right now on systemic racism, so he wants to take actions within his own government in the meantime."

I had always assumed Trader Joes was a liberal company that catered to snowflakes. Maybe I was wrong?
Last week, the "health food" store fired a snowflake named Ben Bonnema. With the help of snowflakes at Yahoo and Twitter, Benny Boy is now leading a "boycott" of his former employer.
It all started when he sent an eMail to the grocery chain's CEO in which he requested five COVID-19-related changes, including stricter mask requirements, enhanced store filtration, and a "three strike policy" for dealing with "uncooperative shoppers." He closed his eMail by writing, "We put our lives on the line everyday [wa, wa, wa,] by showing up to work. Please, show up for us by adopting these policies."
Benny Boy said he received the following in reply: "In a recent email, you suggest adopting a '3 strike' policy against customers and a policy enforcing the same accommodation for every customer with a medical condition that precludes them from wearing a mask. These suggestions are not in line with our core Values. In addition, you state that Trader Joe's is not 'showing up for us' without adopting your policies. It is clear that you do not understand our Values. As a result, we are no longer comfortable having you work for Trader Joe's."
Kudos to the CEO of Trader Joes. I would shop there occasionally when I lived in Florida. Now I wish I lived anywhere near one so that I could show them some support.
The left is always "boycotting" something. Myself, I'm not a big advocate of boycotts. But I am a big advocate of supporting those who believe and act like myself.
So its not that I'll never buy another pair of NIKE or UNDER ARMOR. But why should I support them? When ADIDAS makes a comparable product without giving money to the Kolin Kapernicks and gun grabbers.
And then there is Mike Lindell. He has lost $65,000,000 in his support of President Trump. So recenty, when we needed to buy a set of sheets, guess what brand I bought? And unlike Ted Cruz when he was running for President, Mike wasn't lying when he said the Giza Dream Sheets really are the most comfortable sheets you will ever slept on.
And why use facebook or twitter when there are freedom friendly alternatives like GAB and MEWE? Speaking of GAB, Dixie Heritage is now "gabbing." If you have not done so already, follow Dixie Heritage on GAB: https://gab.com/DixieHeritage
Have you joined Dixie Heritage on MEWE yet?
Maybe there is a local store you can patronize instead of WalMart? Or a 3rd party or independent candidate you can support instead of the jackass wearing the elephant lapel pin? or os it an elephant head wearing a jackass lapel pin?
I believe we can win the war for our culture and that civilization has not yet been lost. We just need to make a little effort to support one another, not just with our words, but with our decisions. And with our business. Even if it does cost a little bit more or require that we go to more places to do so.
Deo Vindice!
Dr. Ed

If everyone on this eMail list contributed just $1 dollar a month, we would be able to fully fund all of our activities for the year and expand our web presence, programs, and educational opportunities.
That is far less than one cup of coffee or most phone apps per month.
