Neighborood meeting tomorrow night

Room 323 of McConnell Center at 6 p.m.
Tomorrow night, Monday, July 10 at 6 p.m., City of Dover staff will hold a second neighborhood meeting to discuss the upcoming Fifth Street and Grove Street Reconstruction Project.

The meeting will review the draft engineered plans before finalizing the project's details. The reconstruction project, scheduled as part of the city's Capital Improvements Program, will encompass roadway reconstruction, upgrading underground utilities, and addressing drainage, roadway, and sidewalk conditions.

Residents are encouraged to attend the meeting to learn more about the project and provide
input.

The city is working with a consultant to design the reconstruction project, ensuring the streets
and sidewalks are safe and accessible for all users. The project is expected to go out to bid in
mid to late summer, with a potential construction start date in either late 2023 or early 2024. After the project goes out to bid and the contract is awarded, the city will host another neighborhood meeting with the contractor to plan for any disruptions.

Room 323 is on the McConnell Center's third floor, with the closest access through Door 2 in the shared parking lot with the Dover library; use Door 3 for elevator access.
