"Being in the business of catering, it was just natural for us to begin to come up with a plan to answer the call," said Terry Allebach,owner of Franconia Heritage. Starting with just their employees and their families, they cooked, packed and delivered hot meals on Thanksgiving Day. As the word got around, both volunteers from the community and families in need of meals increased to what is now a full-fledged operation involving hundreds of volunteers and as many as 1300 hot meals delivered in just a few short hours.
