The Tech Team recently recieved a generous offer to fund the purchase of a new portable sound system to utilize this Spring as we hope to add an outside in-person worship opportunity. We worked with our tech consultant, Rich Gaudette and last Thursday were trained in the new system. We look forward to warmer weather so we can put the microphones and speakers to use!

St. Mary's Lenten Ponderings:
“For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake, and for the sake of the gospel, will save it.” – Mark 8:35
Jesus is pretty clear that we are not to spend our time on earth amassing stuff and seeking to extend our lives and capital but rather to give ourselves away in grateful response to the gospel. Saving one’s life is about loving and giving instead of fortifying one’s own status and economic condition.
As we continue to discern our mission and seek out what God is calling us to do, a good question to ask ourselves is Who Is Our Church Open To?

Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow's cause. Isaiah 1:17
Our call to action against Racism is not political but a call for humanity to come together as one, a call to love our neighbors. It is about life and death and goes far beyond a mandate from the Episcopal Church. It is what we are called to do as Christians. What would Jesus say about injustice and our response to it in 2021?

Evaluating the Response of Our Hearts to Racial Injustice
Injustice is the violation of the right or rights of another (Merriam Webster’s Dictionary). The deaths of George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery sparked protests again gun and police violence against the African American community. The cries against injustice have been many and vocal across America. Many Christians remain divided as to when and how to stand regarding the issue of racial injustice. The Bible speaks clearly about how to respond to injustice, intolerance, and favoritism.
