Hurricane Ian continues moving through our area today with tropical-storm-force winds and heavy rainfall. Here are some updates and resources to assist BHI property owners. Please check in with your BHI neighbors as safety allows, especially as weather conditions worsen.
BHI Transportation
According to the announcement posted on BHI Transportation's website, Bald Head Island ferry services are suspended today. "Due to continuing severe weather from Hurricane Ian, the Bald Head Island Ferry is suspending all operations Friday, 9/30/2022. Ferry service will resume Saturday morning, 10/1/2022, on our normal schedule."
Trees after a Storm
With any storm, "hanging" and "leaning" trees may become a concern. All property owners should understand the proper process for handling trees and limbs that may be leaning or have fallen. Click HERE for BHA's process regarding trees. For any questions, email trees@baldheadassociation.com.
BHA Staff and Office
The BHA office is closed today, September 30, due to Hurricane Ian and will reopen on Monday, October 3. Regular office hours are Monday-Friday 9:00am-4:00pm.
