Wisconsin Tax Deduction for Tuition Expense
Wisconsin Tax Deduction for Tuition Expense
Tax legislation signed into law gives Wisconsin taxpayers the opportunity to deduct private school tuition expenses from their taxable income. A subtraction from income is allowed for tuition expenses that are paid for any of the GRACE schools. Parents/guardians are eligible for a maximum deduction of $4,000 per child in grades K-8 and $10,000 per child in grades 9-12. Students transitioning from eighth to ninth grade are eligible for both deductions. Per state guidance, any amount spent on tuition and book fees are eligible for the deduction. Book fees include digital books, such as laptops or tablet fees issued by the school.

Tuition tax credit information is available to GRACE families online via GRACE’s enrollment management system, TADS. The TADS Household Paid Tuition Tax Report will provide a breakdown of payments made for the specified household’s tuition account during the tax year. When gathering information for tax preparation, GRACE families are to access their TADS account | select Billing | Billing Account Number | Reports | Household Paid Tuition Tax Report | enter the tax year (i.e. 2021) and submit. If you have questions or require assistance, please call TADS Family Support at (800) 477-8237.

SCRIP News
There will be no online Scrip order next week Monday, January 17th
Due to the short week, scrip sales will be first come first serve from the scrip bin in the school office.

Happy New Year Notre Dame Families!

Have you made your New Year’s Resolution? Hopefully it is something like “buy more scrip” or set up “Presto Pay”. Now that the tree is down and the presents have been opened don’t forget to get back to the basics. Scrip-to-go always inventories gas cards (Shell, KwikTrip, and BP), grocery cards (Pick ’n Save, Piggly Wiggly, Festival, Fresh Thyme and Woodmans). Let’s not forget Starbucks and Great Harvest because who couldn’t use a little caffeine boost?

Maybe your resolution is to go someplace warm. You might want to look into Delta and Southwest airlines. Carnival Cruises, Princess Cruises, Disney, and Hotel.com are great options also. All participating retailers are listed on www.shopwithscrip.com

Or maybe your resolution is to get in shape. Scrip can help you there too. Shop Dick’s Sporting Goods, Cabela’s, Under Armour, Nike, and Amazon.

Have a Kohl’s charge bill due, remember to grab scrip! Your Kohl’s charge bill may be paid in store using Kohl’s fundraising scrip - sounds like a win, win!

No matter what your resolution is, don’t forget to incorporate Scrip into your everyday shopping. Not only does it help you fulfill your Scrip goals, it also helps support Notre Dame.
