During the month of August at Honshin Fine Art Galleries in Tlaquepaque, we are exploring the Sacred Symbols of the Maya. This exhibition opens virtually Friday night August 7th with special guests including Hopi artist Rueben Saufkie and Gary Every, Sedona's own philosopher poet.

The presentation of "Words Falling from the Sky in the Present Moment, The Good News From Sedona!" will be filmed by SedonaFilm and we will live stream short segments from the gallery on instagram during the evening event. The full event will be posted on YouTube at Honshin Fine Art. Honshin, Gary Every and Rueben Saufkie will share their stories and wisdom about the Maya and the Hopi.

You are invited this month to join us electronically on a journey into the realms of art, science and nature! Here they will be expressed through the living language of the symbols of the Maya and the messages they left us. The come through the artists who learns the symbols, the poets who speak the truth and the painters who recreate and bring to us understanding.

The god of Zero embracing the Sun God. These guys are also recognized as the Hero Twins in mayan mythology. When they appear together they symbolize Zero Time. These two are getting a lesson on time from the She Who Holds Time in Her Hands. They will return with this teaching to share with everyone.

Three cultures arrived at the concept of zero on their own. The Maya, the Babylonian, and the Hindu of India from whom we inherited it by way of the Arabs. For the Maya Zero means the count has evolved and spiraled up to another level. Zero does not mean there are none of these, it is a place holder.

Transforming Deity Listening to the Prophesy of the Great Black Transformer

For the Maya the great black transformer exists in the constellation of Sagittarius A. This was confirmed by science in the 1980's through the use of radio telescopes - The great black transformer is a black hole hidden behind a cloud of cosmic dust. It is said that black holes pull in matter and transform it into light. Transforming Deity is also in the next painting - with the shaman and the Pleiades.
