  • Volunteers of America Texas is offering grants up to $10,000 for home repairs, including wall/floor removal, mold remediation and repair to sewer and gas lines, roofs, electrical systems, HVAC units and plumbing fixtures. To be eligible, residents must live within the city of Dallas, have a household income at or below 80 percent of the area median income, and have experienced damage to their primary residence caused by the storm that risks causing harm to the life, health or safety of the occupants. Click here to apply.

  • Capital Good Fund, in partnership with United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, is offering crisis relief loans, from $300 to $1,500 at 5 percent annual percentage rates. Payments can be deferred for two months. Click here to learn more. To apply, visit https://capitalgoodfund.org.

  • Society of St. Vincent de Paul is offering low-interest emergency loans from $500 to $2,500 to help people in crisis pay for home or auto repairs, medical bills, a deposit on a new or safer apartment, etc. Applicants must have a current income with direct deposit and a bank account, and be willing to meet with a financial coach.
