The Great Girl Scout Cookie Kickoff
Experience Girl Scout cookies like never before at our 1st Annual Great Girl Scout Cookie Kickoff on Thursday, February 25th , 2021! Several of Idaho’s finest bakers, chefs and Girl Scouts are invited to enter the competition to transform the beloved Girl Scout cookie flavors into desserts that are judged based on appearance, flavor and creativity. The event will be hosted and judged by local celebrities.
Attendees will learn how to make the Top Cookie creation, bid on several delicious creation recipes and have a truly unique experience benefiting girl! Cookie Kickoff proceeds benefit local Girl Scouts! Watch for more information at the start of the year on girlscouts-ssc.org.

Leadership Opportunity for Seniors & Ambassadors – Girl Board Member on Board of Directors
Attention 9th, 10th, and 11th grade Girl Scouts! Have you ever wanted to be part of making decisions for our Council? Have you ever wanted to let someone know that you have an opinion on issues too? Would you like to be an advocate for all Girl Scouts? If you answered "YES!" then you’d be a great fit to be a Girl Board Member on the Silver Sage Board of Directors. There will be opening for two girls who will each serve a one-year term from April 2021 to April 2022.

Attention all 9th through 12th grade Girl Scouts! Our Teen Advisory Committee has worked hard to create an event they think you will love! During this event, you will learn more about how to stay mentally healthy, how to help your friends who might be struggling and how to use tools such as yoga or meditation to calm yourself. There will be a panel of guests with knowledge on mental health and the stigma surrounding it. Get some helpful information and wrap up with some yoga!

Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity for you and your troop to reach out and show others that you care—especially those who may be alone on a day that’s all about connection! Even though we have to keep a safe distance, your troop can help spread joy to thousands of older adults across the country by writing Valentine’s Day cards as part of the Cupid Crew national service project.

Gold Award Trainings are open to all girls, 9th grade and older, parents, and advisors, who are interested in learning more about this prestigious award. Requirements and policies will be reviewed, step by step, with plenty of time for questions. This workshop is mandatory for all girls who wish to propose a Gold Award Proposal Application. This training is held virtually and starts right at 6pm.

Come to the first of four Cookie Business Workshops for Daisies and Brownies! In this workshop, girls will learn the importance and value of money and how to give back just in time for cookie season!

Calling all Cadettes! Join the all girls robotics team, the Chickadees, for this 3 part robotics series. Each workshop will cover a different robotics Badge.
Workshop 3: After engineers build a working version of their robots, they release them to the public. They may enter them into challenges and competitions or market them through a website or crowd-funding campaign. Now that you’ve built your robot, share your design with others and explore a future in robotics.

Program Aide Training is designed to help Cadette Girl Scouts discover their talents in mentoring and leading younger children and gain the confidence, knowledge and expertise needed to guide younger girls. The training will prepare them to hold future leadership positions within and outside of Girl Scouting; plus, connect with other teen Girl Scouts from around the council.

Join Sarah and Kailee as we begin our Adulting 101 series with our College Knowledge badge! During this workshop we are going to explore different universities, talk about the admissions process, how to get financial aid, and surviving your first year!

Love cooking? Love trying new things? Come hang out with Kailee and Sarah to learn new culinary skills, how to make a dish from another country and other delicious recipes! Juniors will earn and receive the Simple Meals Badge and Cadettes will earn and receive the New Cuisines Badge.

Winter Fun Challenge 2020!
Girl Scouts of Silver Sage challenges Girl Scouts and their families get outdoors this winter! Girl Scouts who do activities for their grade level & complete the form below by March 22nd will receive a free Winter Fun Patch! Girl Scouts and non-Girl Scouts are encouraged to participate.

Beaverton Civic Theatre Girl Scout Workshops
Join our friends from the Beaverton (Oregon) Civic Theatre as they present their new series of badge workshops! "Time Travelers" Workshops will take you to Ancient Greece, the Middle Ages, the creation of the Amazon Rainforest, Ancient Europe, Hawaii, the hanging Gardens of Babylon, and our National Parks in the 60's!
Their "Wizarding Online" workshops will take participants through the wizarding world, in a whimsical way to earn fun Girl Scout badges! Fees are paid to the Civic Theatre via online registration.

Now accepting Adult Recognitions Nominations! Visit the “Adult Recognitions” tab on our website. The new nomination system will make it easier, clearer, faster, and even more fun to nominate. In-Person Troop Activity COVID-19 Safety Guidelines Updates

At this time, while community spread of COVID-19 is high, we ask troops to limit their in-person meetings and activities and encourage troops to meet virtually whenever possible. As always, please discuss plans with families and explore ways to include all girls and families (including those who may not be ready to resume in-person activities). Prior to any in-person meeting or activity, please review the COVID-19 Volunteer Guidance issued on our website, as well as with your local health district. If more restrictive, follow the local restriction.

The brick & mortar retail store is open and ready for business! You can also shop our council’s online store, or give us a call during store hours, for curbside pickup or USPS shipping. For most standard items, shipping on orders under $100 costs only $2.95. Orders over $100 ship free. A surcharge may be necessary to ship heavy or bulky items.
