Please take this quick Housing Needs Survey to provide input on what housing is most needed in our community. This survey will help the City identify housing needs and concerns in the community. The survey should only take you about 5 to 10 minutes.

The City will use these survey results to help develop policies and programs that continue to enhance our quality of life and make positive enhancements to the housing options in Bonner Springs.
We want your input as we update the Comprehensive Plan and Future Land Use Map!

These tools guide the City to determine where certain types of development should be placed. Your input lets us know how you want your City to look in the future with regards to residential, commercial, industrial, parks, and more.

Public Safety Departments Work Together to Assist in Crisis Response
The COVID-19 pandemic and its economic and social impact, as well as any variety of other factors have led to a startling rise in mental health emergencies.

Mental health is a crisis across our country that can affect any age, nationality, and socio-economic class, and can present itself in many forms. If you or someone you know is in crisis or needs assistance, there are many great resources for support, starting with your healthcare provider. Anyone can call 1-800-662-HELP, a national help line. Also, similar to 911, a new number, 988 is the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

Read more about how Bonner Springs' public safety agencies are working together to assist residents when responding to situations. View the article here.

Residential Sewer Averaging Beginning in April
Residential customers may notice a change in their sewer bill beginning in April. This is not due to a rate change but a recalculation of the billed sewer usage.

The sewer usage billed for residential customers is based on an average monthly water usage billed for that resident during the most recent months of December, January, February and March (Winter Average). This average usage is used to bill sewer for that resident from April through the following March.

Until a residential customer establishes a December, January, February and March average, the monthly sewer usage charge will be either the actual water used or a maximum of 6,000 gallons per month.
