The Charitable Advisors nonprofit job board
is changing on February 28
At Charitable Advisors, we take our role of connecting job seekers to local nonprofit employers very seriously. We are always exploring ways to improve the experience for employers and job seekers.

With that goal in mind, we are pleased to announce that we are moving to a new job board platform at the end of February. This new platform is designed to make both the job posting and candidate application experience better.

As an employer, one of the most significant changes you will notice is the ability to have more control of the job posting process and any subsequent changes to the posting. Under the current system, employers send us an e-mail or submit their job posting through a form on our website. The job is then loaded onto the job board system by a Charitable Advisors team member within a few days, acknowledged and invoiced within a week or so.
The new system will give employers direct access to the job board so your posting will go live more quickly. You also can easily make changes to the ad or cutoff dates. The default will be to pay by credit card, but an invoice is available if desired.

Stay tuned for more information about how the new system can help you attract more applicants and streamline your interactions with them, including some exciting video interview options.

You may want to copy/print select candidates in the current job board system

If you are saving any high potential candidates in the current job board system, you will need to copy/print those candidates for future recruiting or reference. Old jobs and candidates will not be copied to the new job board system; employers will need to capture any information they need from the old system before it is permanently closed. We recognize this will be an inconvenience for employers who don’t already have a routine of saving key candidate information, so the old system will remain accessible to employers until the end of April 2022.

Trainings from the Axelson Center
for Nonprofit Management

We are fortunate to have great nonprofit educational resources in central Indiana from the O’Neil and Lilly Family schools at IUPUI. As most education has moved online, it also provides the opportunity to identify complementary training resources provided by others. North Park University provides an ongoing series of webinars and has moved their annual conference to October for 2022. Most are provided at nominal fees.  Register

We want to recognize board leaders
For most board members, board leadership roles come with a commitment and investment of time and resources to support a cause they care about. However, for the individual who steps up to serve as board president or chair, the role comes with the assumption of overall responsibility for the nonprofit and guiding the organization’s path forward.

As we continue to share news of board leaders who have taken the helm, we encourage you to recognize and thank these individuals for tackling the role, because as a community member you recognize the value of his or her investment to help keep the sector strong.

If you want to announce your organization’s new board leader, please send name, position and a head shot HERE.

We are open to other ways we can support and recognize board leaders. Send us your thoughts or tell us a story about a board leader who has made a difference in your organization. Share your ideas with Bryan Orander, president.
