S'mores & Skate Night

Windham Parks and Recreation is hosting our annual old-fashioned skating parties… and you’re invited! (We had a great turn-out for our 1st one on Friday, January 28th- thanks to all who joined us!) We provide a campfire for warming, s’mores ingredients, lights, and music – just bring your ice skates and your friends or family!

S'mores & Skate Nights are held on Chaffin Pond at Lippman Park, weather pending. Date changes or cancellations will be posted on windhamrecreation.com and on our Facebook page during the week of the event. No cost or registration required.

Winter Adventure Bingo

Windham Parks and Recreation wants to encourage you to try some new outdoor activities while you visit our parks and trails! Join us for a community-wide game of Bingo that incorporates activity ideas for all ages and experience levels.

Winter Adventure Bingo will run from January 3 - March 4 to give everyone plenty of time to participate. No registration required. Bingo cards are available by clicking the button below, or you may pick up a printed copy in the Parks and Recreation Office. Anyone who gets a Bingo (5 in a row across, down, or diagonally) will win a prize!

We can't wait to see your photos and hear about all of your outdoor winter adventures!

Kiddie Gym
For ages 5 & under
Indoor fun with balls, slides, parachutes and plenty of playmates. For children ages 5 and under (and their caregivers!)

Dates: Mondays and Thursdays until April 28, 2022
(Exclusion dates: 2/21, 2/24, 3/3, 4/18 & no Kiddie Gym on RSU #14 snow days)
Time: 10:00 - 11:30 am
Location: Windham Town Hall Gym
Fee: $2 per child for drop-in visits; $25 - 15 visit pass; $45 - 30 visit pass
Mask Requirement: Masks are required for anyone over the age of 2 regardless of COVID vaccination status.
Creative Kiddie Craft Time
For ages 2-5

Children ages 2-5 and their adult caregivers are invited to craft and create together! This is spinoff of the previous popular “Seasonal Creations” program, updated to allow us to comply with health protocols. Moms and dads, grandparents, babysitters, aunts and uncles… All are welcome to join us at Town Hall for simple craft projects with all supplies provided.

February Vacation Trip
For grades K-5

Kids in grades K-5, join Windham Parks & Recreation for a fun day of games, crafts and tubing! We’ll start off the day with gym games, crafts and outdoor play at the Town Hall park. We will have an early lunch provided by Little Caesars and head to Seacoast Adventure for an afternoon of tubing!
Date: Thursday, February 24 
Time: 8:30am - 4:00pm 
Location: Windham Town Hall Gym & Seacoast Adventure
Fee: $50 per person (includes transportation, snow tubing at Seacoast and lunch)
Lunch: Lunch will be provided by Little Caesar's Pizza
Mask Requirements: Masks are required on the bus, in the building at Seacoast Adventure and in the Town Hall regardless of vaccination status.
Register by Monday, February 21.  Pre-registration is REQUIRED, as space is limited.
After School Yoga
For grades 3-5
Come experience the peaceful practice of yoga with Rebecca LaWind! Yoga helps us clear our mind, relax our body and mind, improve balance and coordination, encourages both movement and stillness, and much more! During class, we will focus on breathing techniques, yoga poses, relaxation and mindfulness in a fun, exploratory way.

Ages: Grades 3-5
Dates: 6 Weeks on Early Release Wednesdays, March 2 - April 6 
Times: 1:30-2:30pm
Location: Windham Town Hall
Transportation: Will be provided from Windham Primary and Manchester Schools to Town Hall; return transportation to SACC is also available.
Mask Retirements: Must be worn while traveling in the Parks & Recreation vehicles and in the Town Hall Gym.

Ages 40+
Men ages 40+, please join us on Tuesday and Thursday nights at the Windham Primary School Gym. Games will be played in a pick-up format.

Senior Programs (55+)
Fitness Challenges

Let's face it, as we get older things don't work like they used to. We don't seem as strong as we once were and balance and falling can be a concern. As a way to help, we have put together 3, 4-week fitness challenges, each targeting a different goal. In order for you to receive the participation packet, registration is required a week in advance.

Let's Play Bingo

You will receive your “no-need-for-daubers” Bingo card by mail. We will draw 2 daily numbers (M-F) until someone gets BINGO! Once we verify we have a winner, we'll start another game.

To get the daily numbers call 207-800-6187 or visit www.windhamrecreation.com and they will be posted on the homepage.
Bingo begins February 1st and the Bingo winners will receive PRIZES!
Market Basket & Lunch at Stockhouse Restaurant

We will take a few hours so you can go through what’s been called “the best gourmet grocery store”, offering store-made prepared foods, fresh produce, an expansive deli, prime meat, fresh seafood, store-made baked goods and so much more. Once you finish shopping, our lunch stop will be at the Stockhouse Restaurant in Westbrook.

Holiday Fun - Craft & Treats

For Valentine's Day, we are hosting a craft day with treats included! Come to the Town Hall and join some of the Windham Parks & Recreation staff for an afternoon of holiday crafts and treats!

Monthly Lunches
One Friday per month, lunches will now be prepared by Starlight Catering (AKA Duck Pond Variety) and served at Town Hall. We are encouraging dining in, with curbside pickup still an option. Please indicate your choice at the time of registration. Registration and payment are required by 4:00 pm. on the Wednesday before each lunch. Registration can be done online (see link below) or in person at the Parks and Recreation Dept. or call 892-1905.

Weekly Shopping
Join Windham Parks & Recreation every Thursday morning to go shopping in North Windham. This program is FREE for seniors who can't drive or get to a store on their own. Participants are required to call our office and reserve your spot between Monday - Wednesday of that week. The route and the times may vary slightly each week based upon the number of participants that reserve a spot. Picking up from different locations may require a slight wait. Call us at 892-1905 to reserve your spot.
