MHAC Expresses Gratitude for Governor Gavin Newsom’s proposed 2022 – 2023 State Budget

MHAC is grateful for the proposed allocations within the
behavioral health and parity realms.

As a Co-Sponsor of AB 988 (Bauer-Kahan) Mental health: 988 crisis hotline, MHAC is the specifically excited about the proposed allocations of $7.5 million this year and the ongoing $6 million toward implementing and supporting the 988 Suicide Prevention Hotline. This 988 Suicide Prevention Hotline coupled with the additional proposed $1.4 billion toward making mobile crisis teams a Medi-Cal benefit will save Californians’ lives.

In this training, you will learn about the different types of services and supports available for youth with mental health needs. We will provide information to help you navigate the mental health system during this transition period.

Join us and learn how to use the tools, methods, and inventions of Strengths Model Care Management to increase your effectiveness in engaging and aligning with people in their recovery journey. Strengths Model Care Management is an evidence-based practice that has been demonstrated to be effective in improving life outcomes for people with serious mental illnesses, including those with co-occurring substance use disorders. This workshop is intended for case managers, clinicians, case management supervisors, and peer support workers.
