Monoclonal Antibodies and COVID-19

Millions of immunocompromised Americans are at the highest risk for developing severe COVID-19 and are hospitalized at a rate four times greater than the general population. Transplant recipients and people with certain cancers, advanced or untreated HIV, and those taking immunosuppressive drugs or undergoing chemotherapy are especially in danger as they may not produce an adequate response to vaccines. If you are considered immunocompromised, talk to your doctor about upping your antibodies with a long-acting monoclonal antibody therapy treatment to keep you healthier and safer. Learn more at UpTheAntibodies.com.

Helping Seniors Breathe Easy

We would like to thank El Camino Healthcare District for supporting our Seniors Breathe Easy program with a 1-year grant. The program targets seniors 65 years and older and their caregivers. Most seniors are at high risk for lung disease, already have lung disease, or have a family member with lung disease. Lung disease plays a critical role in health for seniors, is the number three killer in the US, and dramatically decreases their quality of life. Our program activities will include health presentations, caregiver training, smoking cessation assistance, exercise programs, home visits for fall prevention and assessment of environmental lung health risks, and provision of respiratory therapy equipment for needy seniors. Learn more about Breathe California’s Senior Resources.
