Show Cancellation: Manipulate Festival 2022
Birdie
Saturday 29 January
Your Booking Reference:

Dear ,

We are contacting you because you have booked tickets for Birdie on Saturday 29 January 2022, part of Manipulate Festival 2022. Due to the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the restrictions to indoor events as a result of the Omicron variant, combined with the logistical challenges of international travel in the current climate, the producers have made the difficult decision to cancel both performances on 29 January.

Due to the cancellation, you have a number of options. To indicate which is your preference, please phone Box Office on 0131 529 6000 (Mon - Fri, 11am - 3pm) or email us at bookings@capitaltheatres.com, quoting your booking reference from the top of this email:

  • We can issue you a credit note for the full value of the tickets. This is only valid for Capital Theatres.
  • If you would prefer a refund, please phone or email the Box Office before 28 January 2022, and they will issue a refund to your card.
  • If your original payment was made with cash or voucher, we can issue those once we re-open.

A message from the Manipulate team:

Whilst we are deeply disappointed not to be able to showcase this work to our audiences, we are pleased that MANIPULATE Festival 2022 will proceed with a reduced programme.

In place of the cancelled shows, The Chosen Haram by Sadiq Ali and After Metamorphosis by Lewis Sherlock and Ali Maloney will now be at The Studio at Festival Theatre, rather than at Summerhall as previously advertised.

A socially distanced seating plan will now be in place for all performances as part of MANIPULATE. You can read our full update here.

We are working with all artists whose shows have been unable to proceed at MANIPULATE to find other ways to bring their work to you in the future.

You can browse the full MANIPULATE 2022 programme and sign up to their mailing list to keep up to date via the buttons below.
