This month, we wanted to give you some interesting numbers and breakdowns of ad budgets and spending from names we all know.

This was the total ad budget for the Top 10 Insurance companies in 2020! Do you know who spent the most? Yes, Geico, who is at $1.552 billion!

Based on the national average cost of car insurance being $1,592 per year, Geico needs to sell 974,874 auto policies to cover this massive ad budget.

So, how much do they make a year? $25.5 billion. Yes, Geico only spends 6% of their revenue on advertising!!

Super Bowl Ads

Many of us watch the Super Bowl for the commercials. I think the commercials from 20 years or so ago are much better. But, looking at the past 22 years, the cost is A LOT more.

These ten companies have spent over $1.55 billion on one TV program over the past 22 years! This amount does not include production.

So Budweiser has an annual ad budget of $1.53 billion per year and spends an average of $20 million a year on Super Bowl ads. That comes out to 4.5% of their ad budget being spent on Super Bowl Sunday ads.
