Global leadership in improving human performance & effectiveness in healthcare
Charlie Wilkins, Nebraska Medicine Cardiac Tech and Paramedic, shared his experience with the COVID-19 vaccine, demonstrating effects and benefits of this new treatment.

January Highlights
Federal Collaboration & Partnerships
In partnership with UNMC, Nebraska Medicine and the U.S. Air Force, Center for Sustainment of Trauma Readiness Skills (C-STARS) - Omaha worked with iEXCEL to train in the Davis Global Center. Military healthcare professionals simulated caring for patients with highly infectious diseases in clinical and austere settings.
Clinical Simulation Breakthrough
UNMC Department of Otolaryngology and iEXCEL collaborated with the Chamberlain Group to create an anatomically accurate training model. This device mimics tissues and structures of the oral and nasal cavities, allowing healthcare providers to practice nasopharyngeal swabbing and other procedures.

Advanced Professional Training
Emergency Medicine residents simulated key procedures including repairing lacerations, eye examinations and foreign body removal at the Davis Global Center.
