Greetings!
This Newsletter is full of many FUN things ADA has in store for the Spring & Summer!    Our current dancers are working hard to prepare for our recital in May and cannot wait to show everyone all we have been working on during such a different year!  We all feel lucky and blessed to have been able to do what we love-DANCE! 

Registration is now open for our Spring sessions and our Summer sessions are filling up quickly!  Some are almost full due to COVID restrictions but we will start waiting lists for them so be sure to put your name on that list as many people do have change in plans. 

As we hit the one year mark of shutdown my staff and I would like to thank everyone who has supported us during these times.  We greatly appreciate the support and all the kind recommendations and could not have made it through these times without that!   Thank you so much!
Spring Sessions at ADA begin April 15th
Registrations opens March 1st

Our WEE Dance is for Mommy (or Daddy/caregiver) and a tot. It is designed to help aid in the development of skills appropriate for a 2 year old. For this reason our class uses a parent or caregiver to help us orient the child into a classroom setting encouraging the development of fine and gross motor skills. These skills are developed through the use of music, dance, and support of those who love them. Along with assisting in the development of motor skills in the children we incorporate sharing, taking turns, and following directions. These aspects all lead to the development of socialization and additional necessary skills of listening and memory.




This class is a fun and exciting intro to ballet and tap dance, that focus on coordination, self-expression and musicality in creative and imaginative ways. Dancers learn many cute songs with dance steps that they will be singing to you each week. They learn the importance of taking turns and working together in a structured class. We will keep students entertained and help them to acquire a lifelong love of dance.  This class is for dancers only and parents do not come into the classroom with them.

Our ADA Company consists of dancers from various levels who are dedicated to dance, love to perform, and are looking to be challenged in class, rehearsals, performances, and competitions.  Each company level is designed for the age group and harvests self-confidence, teamwork, and most importantly, guidance tailored for each specific student. This safe and healthy environment is great for young dancers looking to perform more often and further their studies.  Many of our former ADA company dancers have gone on to major and minor in dance and the performing arts in college, become part of college dance teams, become members of college dance groups, or made dance part of their professional career. Our dancers are guided with advice to further their dancing in whichever capacity they wish as they move forward with healthy and happy lives.
Our Dance Company works on a year-round basis and thrives on the technical and performance aspect of all genres of dance.  Our Dance Company members are invited or accepted by audition.  All company members must attend all required classes and rehearsals at American Dance Academy and carry themselves as role models in the studio and when we are out in the community.

For those who wish to join our Dance Company for the 2021-22 season, the summer requirements are listed below and the class level is the level for next year's 2021-2022 school year season.   
All dancers progress into the next level until middle school where they remain in certain levels for a couple years.    
  
Petite Child/Elem 1:  One Camp
Minis Elem 2/Level 1:  One Camp & One Intensive OR Two Intensives 
Level 2 Juniors- 2 Intensives OR 1 Intensive and 1 PA Camp
Level  3 Juniors- 2 Intensives (preferred) or 1 Intensive & 2 PA Camps 
Teens/Seniors (Level 4/5): Two Intensives 
We will also have a few master classes with auditions for guest choreographers and those schedules are TBD

PERFORMING ARTS CAMPS
These fun, yet educational, camps are for students who are interested in dance, arts, and performing! Each day dancers work on different styles and technique along with learning a routine in that genre. They also make a prop or costume piece that is used for each dance they learn. At the end of the week, they will have put together a mini show to entertain family and friends!

Serious students ages 8 & up will GAIN so much during our summer intensives. Technique, inspiration and passion are brought right to ADA from our professional staff along with guests artists brought in from the Philadelphia and NY Areas.

May 8th ADA Tentative Outdoor Recital
May 14th-15th Rain Date Weekend
 
May 27th-Final day of classes for the 2020-2021 Season
 
Fall schedules will be distributed in May with registration beginning June 1st.
Everyone who registers and pays the first and last installment by July 31st will receive a FREE ADA T-shirt for the child which will be given out when the 20-21 season begins.
