Sam & Louie’s
Glenna Phelps-Aurich, Executive Director of the Logan County Chamber of Commerce, presented the Business of the Week Award to Sam and Louie’s Restaurant and original owners Mike and Denise Schaefer, Manager Nikki Cabrera and new owner Jeff Valentine.

..Sam & Louie’s Italian Restaurant opened in Sterling in May of 2016 with Mike and Denise Schaefer as owners following the Economic Development team bringing the franchise to town for a tasting. The building at 310 Main was remodeled to suit the needs of the restaurant and maintain as much of the history of the building as possible.
..Exposing the original brick and adding both the outdoor patio and the must-see historical bar help to provide the desired atmosphere for a relaxed dining experience.
The restaurant is now transitioning from the Schaefers as owners to the new owner, Jeff Valentine. The restaurant industry has been Jeff’s life’s work and he loves both the challenges and the rewards. It is Jeff’s hope to do a great job and to serve this great community.
..Nikki Cabrera has stayed on as manager and remains an integral part of the restaurant also stemming from her extensive experience and love of the industry. Much of the staff remains the same and they continue to enlist qualified, dedicated employees to serve your needs and make your experience enjoyable.
..The menu options are broad-scoped with a focus on Italian cuisine. Whether their guests are in the mood for traditional Italian, or one of their hoagies, salads, or just an appetizer, Sam & Louie’s has a great variety to choose from. Daily food and drink specials are available to give their guests a taste of what they have to offer and are always fun to try.
..Ultimately, Sam & Louie’s overall objective is to provide an exciting, fun atmosphere where individuals and families can celebrate, meet with business associates, connect with friends, or whatever the case may be. If you are celebrating a birthday, networking, having a date night, or just having a drink after work, please join them. They love seeing you!
..Sam & Louie’s provide catering, both off-site and on-site in the party room. Regular and catering menu items are available or if you have something particular in mind, they can provide it as well at your request. Sam & Louie’s is located at 310 Main St., Sterling. Just give them a call at 970-526-2550 or find them on Facebook.
