WKU will celebrate its second Day of Caring on Thursday, April 15.
“The initial WKU Day of Caring last April was created as an opportunity for the WKU Family to connect when we were feeling our most disconnected,” said Amanda Trabue, Vice President of Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement. “As the past year has confirmed, we can face any challenge together and succeed.
“The second WKU Day of Caring is a way to recognize how our students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends have demonstrated excellence in their fields and persevered throughout their communities,” added Trabue. “And, again this year, the celebration is primarily digital and on social media.”
WKU Day of Caring is also a way to reminisce about favorite WKU memories and how one’s WKU Experience has affected them personally and professionally.
“We know that for many Hilltoppers, their WKU Experience was made possible by a supportive WKU Family,” said Trabue. “We want to hear how that support has impacted your life. Did a scholarship allow you to attend WKU? Did a faculty or staff member go above and beyond to help you? We’d love to hear your stories on April 15.”
As we celebrate the relationships fostered by this special community, Day of Caring is also an opportunity to reach out a helping hand to fellow Hilltoppers and WKU students by making a gift to the University.
