Ed Grant, Senior Pastor
Dear Friends in Christ,
On Sunday, March 7, we are planning to reopen the church for in-person worship at 10:30 a.m. After much prayer and discussion by our Medical Team, we believe it is time to resume in-person worship. We will continue to wear masks and maintain social distancing. At this point, we will not be requiring reservations. As our numbers increase, we will again offer two services on Sunday morning.
On April 4, Easter Sunday, we will be offering three morning services – 8:30 a.m., 10:00 a.m., and 11:30 a.m. We will be taking reservations for Easter to ensure we can safely social distance. Karen will be coordinating the reservations and will let you know about availability. I am asking for your flexibility with the available times.
I also ask that you be in prayer as to how we can best reopen Sunday School in the weeks to come.
I am truly looking forward to seeing you in person once again. Thank you for your prayers for your church, your staff, and your church family.
God bless, Ed

Uth Backpack Packing Night!
Join us this Sunday, February 21, from 6—8 p.m. for a night of giving back. We will be packing Backpack Buddy Bags as well as having food and fun. Social distancing and mask guidelines still apply.
Assistance with Signing Up for the COVID 19 Vaccination
If anyone is having difficulty or needs assistance registering on the COVID 19 Registration site, please call the church office to let us know. One of our members, Megan Peterson, has volunteered to help you register. Just let us know and we will pass your contact information on to Megan. Thank you Megan for your willingness to serve in this important way!
Backpack Buddies Volunteer Sign-Up
We continue to serve our neighbors through our Backpack Buddy Ministry to local school children. Please consider signing up for weekly packing for our 3 schools. Additional dates and updated instructions are posted on the sign up sheet. You can find the online sign up sheet by clicking here.
Our greatest need is for volunteers to pack bags, but we welcome your food donations during the week, and we can always use your financial help and prayerful support.
Pregnancy & Resource Center Donations
Previously, February was when we have raised money for Women's Choice Pregnancy & Resource Center with a "Baby Bottle Boomerang". Collecting money in a bottle throughout February was a fun way to donate to the center. We are challenged by not meeting in person right now, but please consider making a donation by notating your check to Women's Choice or WCPRC. A check from Forrest Burdette will be sent the first week of March from those who've donated through Forrest Burdette. Or, send your check directly to Women's Choice at P.O. Box 11687, Charleston, WV, 25339.

  • Purchase Valentine clearance items for shoeboxes (the OCC Donation Box is in the church office)
  • Meet at noon this Thursday to prepare take-home sewing kits for dresses (Byrd Hall)
"Those who have never been told of him will see, and those who have never heard will understand." Romans 15:21 / See the amazing things God is doing with the boxes you've packed through Operation Christmas Child!

Live Stream Tech Volunteers Needed
To help continue our Facebook-Live presence for our 10:30 a.m. worship services, we need several volunteers to train and learn the process to help this outreach. We are blessed with the technology to be able to reach others for Christ in this new way. Please consider being a part of this team! Please contact Karen in the office or Pastor Jeremy
