FOCUS Accreditation Concludes Validation Process
The team of validators from FOCUS Accreditation spent Monday through Thursday this week visiting support homes, speaking with stakeholders, and reviewing documents as one of the final steps in our journey to reaccreditation. Celine Parent, Manager of Accreditation from FOCUS, and Maureen Tomchick, a peer validator from Community Living London, were onsite to get a closer look at the agency’s work and its operations. In a virtual wrap up meeting that took place Thursday morning, several wonderful comments were shared by the FOCUS validators about the outstanding work of our organization. The validators will now bring their findings back to a committee that will decide whether the agency will be accredited for another 4 years, with a decision to be shared with our Executive Director, Karen Bolger, on December 7, 2022.

Thank you to everyone who took part in the validation process, whether you submitted a survey online, were interviewed by one of the validators, prepared and presented documentation, or were present when the validators visited. It takes all of us to succeed in this process, and we’re confident that come December we’ll be celebrating our reaccreditation.
