Wisconsin Singers Newsletter

Dear Robin,

The air is humming, and something great is coming! Mills Hall in UW-Madison's Humanities Building is once again alive with song, dance, and big band sound as Wisconsin Singers' 55th anniversary troupe prepares to dazzle audiences across the country with its brand new show, fittingly titled "Something's Coming."

Despite long rehearsal days and short breaks, our 18 singer/dancers, 8 instrumentalists, 3 techs, and 10 business interns survived the first two weeks of Production Camp, no doubt motivated by daily themed attire, spontaneous napping, and plenty of snacks. To cap off these rigorous weeks of rehearsals, the troupe will debut "Something's Coming" to an audience of family, friends, and alumni this Sunday, Sept. 4, at 3 p.m. in Music Hall. Come cheer on our 55th anniversary troupe at this special finale dress rehearsal.

Alumni Shout-Out

Congratulations to Ringmaster, Dave SaLoutos (Wisconsin Singers '76-'78) on his recent retirement from Circus World Museum after 33 years and over 7,000 shows! "It was never that I loved being in front, it's that by being front and center, I could help the audience understand and relate to the performers."

We're nothing without you!

A huge round of applause fo everyone who donated food to allow our hard-working students to stay on site to eat meals and grab snacks backstage. Thank you also to our volunteer costume designer Judy Novotny and everyone who assisted with costumes and props!

Thank you to these volunteers...

Now it's your turn!

Help us kick off our 55th anniversary season with your financial gift.
