Improvement

Dear Ministry Partner,

How many of us can say, “God is still working on me?” Because we know that the statement is true, we can allow God to conform us to His image. In leadership, there is reason to improve as individuals; there are processes to be refined and the vision to be re-cast. I find that the bigger the organization, the more frequent the mission and vision should be laid before the people.

I am spending this time with my family. I am reaffirming them in who we are and the special things that God wants to do with us. You all know that we are following God’s lead to live abroad and serve Him. We have made the move and are settling in well. Needless to say, improvements are on the honey-do-list.

Also, with staff and team members, improvements are necessary. We give evaluations, but the same ones we evaluate do not usually evaluate us. I’m in the process of evaluating those under my leadership. And guess what, I want them to evaluate me, too. Regarding relationships: improvements are very similar to routine maintenance. 1 Thessalonians 3:12 comes to mind. “And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another and toward all, even as we do toward you.”

Pakistan

We have a new class with 15 students being taught by Pastor S. And our other class in southern Pakistan are learning Course 4: Preaching Biblical Messages & Pastoral Ministry.

"Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! I thank the Lord for this great opportunity to learn with the CCI class. I am getting good instruction and understanding in Course 2: Old Testament Survey. It is a totally new method for learning the OT books. It provides me with great training and teaching for spiritual growth and growing in knowledge of the Word of God. In this time, my life has changed and my teaching and preaching has totally changed. Bangladesh

Pastor S is teaching Course 4 in northern Bangladesh and then in north-eastern Bangladesh at a church. He is very happy to train church leaders in three churches. Please pray for him as he drives a long distance to train others.

Pastor D is completing Course 3: New Testament Survey in his four classes; two of which are among the unreached.

"Greetings! First, I would like to thank CCI for providing material in the Bangla language. I am glad to let you know that God has given me the great privilege of learning the Word of God in CCI classes here at my nearby church in Bangladesh. At this time, I’m learning book 4: Preaching Biblical Messages and Pastoral Ministry. This book is helping me to prepare good messages to teach in the church so the people can come to understand and apply to their lives. The CCI courses have changed my life and are helping me to grow spiritually. Please pray for me to continue to know the Word of God deeply. North India

We held a graduation ceremony on July 5, in northern India for three classes. Praise the Lord that we had a great time of celebration for 13 graduates of the CCI training.

Your giving impacts and enlarges the Kingdom of God! The ministry was shared one-on-one with a capable Assamese pastor. Also, the class is going well in north eastern India.

This is a new class in north-east India with Pastor R. He is a co-teacher with Sam in Florida. We praise God that the classes are growing in the knowledge of God and that they are happy for discipleship training.

"Hello, greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I currently attend training in a small village, which started with Pastor P. He had met me and shared about the CCI Bible training, and I said I would think about it. Again, the next week he mentioned it to me, but I made excuses to join the class. One day I thought, I guess I can attend the class and see what it is all about. So, while I was in the class, I felt something different than other Bible studies. By the grace of God, I have been attending classes and enjoying learning the Word of God deeply. I thank God and for His servants Pastor J, Pastor P, and all those who are equipping and training others. God bless you all!

Nepal

On July 26, we celebrated the 16 graduates in western Nepal. These disciples of Christ were cared for through the duration of 4.5 months where all 10 courses of the CCI curriculum were taught.

"I am from East Nepal. I live in a very remote, unreached area, where many families and households still worship nature or idols. I praise God that 2 years ago, most of my family members accepted Christ and we started a small fellowship in our own place. It is good to add more people to His Kingdom, but for me it was challenging because I had to properly teach them His Word and guide them toward their eternal destination. This was very hard because I was not trained nor did I have formal Bible training. I praise God and thank CCI Nepal for providing me with the opportunity to learn His Word through 4 months of training in western Nepal. This was very effective and fruitful to me. This training helped me to learn how to study the Bible and interpret it, how to prepare biblical messages, determine what our goal and role is as a pastor, how to administer and organize the church, and why we should disciple people. I am very excited for my next journey and leadership after this training. I felt a transformation like a caterpillar to a butterfly in my life. I thank God for CCI Ministry in Nepal.

Nepal

Please pray for our upcoming training classes around Nepal.
Pray for funds to publish the CCI Nepali version of training materials.
Pray that all staff can attend the CCI Global Conference with much needed funds. Finances are a big hindrance to attending. Click button at bottom of page to help.
Pray for 13 students who have had class continuously for 2 months.

Please pray that our students can continue the training class and extend into new areas.
We travel outside regularly to train the students, share the Gospel, visit the church members in new areas, for Sunday service and ministry purposes. We need your prayer support for our safety and security.
We have an evangelical initiative as CCI students model godliness for the unreached people. Please pray for safety and security.
We praise God that a motorcycle is on the way through an organization. Now I can move frequently and visit with the students and church members.
Pray for our CCI certified trainer, Pastor S and his wife. They are planning and praying for God to bless them with another child.
Pray for spiritual stimulation increases of all believers in Bangladesh.

That poor students can be provided with scholarships in order to buy books.
Pray for the flood victims. 1,438 villages have been affected by floods in Punjab state.
Pray that the Lord would open doors to support more teachers.
I want to own a house. I have been renting and the situation has worsened.
