Getting to know Class 43
Class 43 has had a unique beginning to its AgForestry experience. After waiting a full year to meet in person, they will gather for their first seminar this October in Pullman. Program Manager Lindsey Williams continues checking in with class members to see what they are looking forward to, and what assets they will bring to AgForestry.
After moving to the Skagit Valley from Oregon, Mikala has spent the last four years enjoying her new landscape. “Seeing the bay and then mountains at the same time is amazing,” she notes. Mikala has significant interest in politics and policy development, and is looking forward to the Washington D.C. seminar. Looking for ways to serve others, and her industry, Mikala is ready for AgForestry Class 43 to start in October.

We’re looking forward to it also, Mikala, and we can’t wait to see you find creative ways to be a great servant leader!
As a reforestation specialist, Jared focuses on young stand management, vegetation management, and density management in his work. He is looking forward to networking with classmates and alumni in other fields, such as agriculture. He is ready to bring his skills in encouraging teamwork and successful communication to his cohort, and equally as ready to learn a lot at the State and National Government seminars.

Jared, we are excited to see you enhance your skill set throughout your time with AgForestry!
