I am ecstatic about joining the team at North Raleigh UMC.

I am currently serving as the associate pastor at Camp UMC in Shallotte, NC. I moved around quite a bit growing up, but I call Georgia home. I graduated from Baylor University in 2015 and Duke Divinity School in 2018. I am quite busy in March watching the Baylor Bears and Duke Blue Devils compete for national championships year in and year out.

My wife, Mallory, is a mental health therapist and our son, Julian, is about to celebrate his first birthday in July. We enjoy leading an active lifestyle and finding the local eateries wherever we go. Our daily life is pretty occupied with Julian and Zoey (our lovable Greyhound).
I am convinced that vibrant ministry happens best in ‘circles’ in addition to ‘rows’. Relationships are built around face-to-face interactions which go beyond corporate worship. In that spirit, I am looking forward to spending some time in circles with you as we commit to being disciples who make disciples in the name of Christ.

Let’s Journey Together,
Pastor Alex Parker
We excitedly announced Pastor Alex's arrival yesterday in worship. As with all chapters that open, one must close. We have been honored by Pastor Alan and Pastor Ashley's ministry here at NRUMC. While we are sad to see them go, we excited that Pastor Alan will continue to be our neighbor at his appointment at Benson UMC and Pastor Ashley will be taking family leave and focusing on Pete.

Pastor Duke will be staying and continuing in ministry here at NRUMC with our new Associate Pastor, Alex Parker.
