APRIL PARENT NEWS
Dear Parents,

I sincerely hope that this past Easter weekend was incredibly meaningful for you and your student as you pondered the death and resurrection of our Savior. As a Christ-follower for many years, I still struggle to grasp a love so deep that would lead to death on a cross. And yet I know it is true. Thank you Jesus! I am thankful that this message of hope is at the core of everything we do at Northwestern, and I see it in your student, our faculty and staff daily.

I have a favor to ask you parents. We will be hosting our 2nd annual Grandparents Day on Wednesday, April 28. (It should be our 3rd but a little thing called COVID got in the way of last year’s event!) Anyway, this will be a virtual event starting at 2pm. Where we need your help is for you to share your parents (student’s grandparents) information so they can participate. You can find more details below on how to sign them up. Grandparents will get a glimpse of what campus life is like in 2021 at UNW, and while we would prefer to be together, we hope this will be a great time for them to feel a little more connected to their grandchild and UNW.

Thankful we serve a Risen Savior!

PARENT BLOG
How could it be that we’re approaching the last few weeks of the school year already or perhaps even the home stretch of your student’s UNW experience? If you are old enough to have a college-aged son or daughter, you already know that the years stack up all too quickly. And yet, life is lived one single day at a time. Life is so very daily but we live in a culture that focuses on the highlights. A 30th birthday or a graduation can look like we’ve reached the goal, but have we? As we near the end of this school year for our students, they will have victories to celebrate. How can we also use this juncture to help our students consider how to live the days between the milestones that will stack up to the rest of their lives?
