Here's What's Happening at RIBBA

Do you or a young adult you know have a business idea?

The Rhode Island Black Business Association (RIBBA) is hosting a Business Pitch Competition for young minority entrepreneurs on Thursday, August 17, 2023. We are now accepting applications for participants. Entrepreneurs invited to the final competition will take part in a virtual training on Thursday, August 3, 2023, on preparing and presenting a business pitch. This is to ensure each competitor has the skills and information to be as successful as possible.

Eligibility Requirements:

Participants must be Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color.
Must be between the ages of 18 to 30.
Participants must live in Rhode Island.
There is no cost to participate.

Excellent way to validate a business idea and get feedback.
Great opportunity to meet and network with local business owners and leaders.
Enables young entrepreneurs to enhance their presentation skills.
Opportunities to receive ongoing business development services and win cash prizes to help get the business started!

Are you open to scaling your business but don't know where to start? Join us tomorrow, Tuesday, July 25, 2023, from 6PM - 7:30PM to learn about the resources available to Rhode Island small business owners.

During this workshop, we will be taking a detailed look at the program and its invaluable resources. Adriana Dawson, Director, Community Engagement - East Region from Verizon will be answering any questions you may have.

This event will be happening virtually on Zoom and is open to all aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners.
