GENERAL
SENIOR SENDOFF LETTERS DEADLINE
Don’t forget to bring your senior sendoff letters to the Main Office by this Friday, Mar. 26. Office hours are 7:00 to 4:00 except on Friday when it closes at noon due to the minimum day before break. Be sure your letter is handwritten, the envelope unsealed and the recipient’s name on the outside of the envelope. Chat Tara Labisi, senior class president, on TEAMS if you have questions or concerns.
 
LINK CREW
Be a mentor to incoming freshmen next year and join Link Crew. Current sophomores and juniors may apply on the Pen website under Panther Picks or click here. Applications are due this Friday, Mar. 26 at 6:00 pm.

If you are interested in making the world a better place, consider applying for the UC approved Service Learning Leadership class. Students tackle some of the big challenges facing our world today. CURRENT HOURS FOR BREAKFAST AND LUNCH
Curbside pickup hours for the free breakfast and lunch are now 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Monday through Friday. Come to the Gate 3 entrance before Basswood where the line forms outside the gym. This program is open to any student 18 and under and recipients do not need to be enrolled in PVPUSD. No pre-order required. All meals include an entrée, choice of milk and seasonal fruit and vegetables. Menus are at pvpusdschoolnutrition.net.
 
MAIN EVENT MUSICIANS
Showcase your musical skills and audition for the Peninsula Education Foundation’s annual Main Event Live broadcast. This fundraiser for the PEF is held on Saturday, May 1. Auditioning musicians must be PVPUSD students in 3rd through 12th grade. You may play an instrument, be a vocalist or both; perform solo or in a group. More information is available here. Deadline to send in your audition tape is Monday, April 5.
 
BOEING SUMMER INTERNSHIP
The final, virtual information session about the Boeing Summer Internship program is this Thursday, Mar. 25th, at 6:00 pm. The session allows students and parents to learn about the Boeing Summer Internship program which runs June 21 to August 5. PEF FUNDRAISER
Donate $1,500 or more to the Peninsula Education Foundation by March 31 and you’ll be entered to win dinner for two at Compagnon Bistro in San Pedro plus a bottle of Saint Emilion (Chateau la Bessane). Click here to learn more about PEF and to donate.
 
SUMMER SCHOOL
Under the auspices of Peninsula Education Foundation, two summer school sessions will be offered at Peninsula for 9th through 12th grades. The first semester is June 21 to July 9 and second semester is July 12 to July 29. Go to pvpss.com for a complete list of courses, times and registration details. Classes will be offered on campus as well as online. Registrations all start at 9:00 am for the following: juniors begin TOMORROW, Mar. 24; sophomores, Monday, Apr. 5; and freshmen, April 20. The Peninsula Education Foundation’s Main Event annual fund raiser is looking for donations. It could be an item, wine, or a service. Deadline to donate is Friday, April 9. Download the donation form here.

Help Pen’s Drama Boosters raise the money needed for the sound system and purchase Popcornopolis here. It will be shipped directly to you and all proceeds go to upgrade the sound system in the PAC. Deadline to order is Friday, Apr. 16.

If you are ready to start your college search, this workshop on Wednesday, Mar. 24 from 3:00 to 4:30 pm will teach brainstorming and reflection exercises so you may identify what college characteristics are most important for you and develop an application that best demonstrates your strengths. BOYS’ BASKETBALL TRYOUTS
Practice your basketball skills and get ready for the boys’ basketball tryouts TOMORROW, Mar. 24 from 1:00 to 2:30 pm on the outdoors courts. Participants must first be cleared through the Student Store and bring to the tryouts a basketball, athletic shoes and reversible jersey, water bottle and hand sanitizer.
