Hope Ministries Socks & Underwear - Due Dec. 19
Spread hope to men who are served by Hope Ministries by shopping for men's socks and underwear. Please return items to the bin at the red wall at church by Dec. 19.
Cards for the Homebound - Due Dec. 16
Write a few extra Christmas cards and share them with our homebound members. You may pick up a list of homebound members at the church or email Lisa for the list. You do not need to know these folks in order to share a greeting with them. Please drop the cards off in the giant mailbox located at the red wall in the church. Cards are due Dec. 16. We will deliver the cards to members the week of Christmas.
We need drivers!
If you would like to sign up to deliver cards, you may call the office or sign up at the red wall.
THOUGHTS FROM PASTORS & STAFF
THE LOST COMMUNITY
The church became very real to me when I was about nine years old. My mom had cancer and was in and out of the hospital, often for long periods, for the better part of a couple of years. During that time, my dad had three young sons to take care of (I was the oldest) while he worked a demanding job. The church became real in the faces of people who picked us up on weekends so my dad could be with mom. The church became real in meals dropped off at the house. The church became real in the way we were all embraced and supported by people who cared for us. The body of Christ was alive and moving in our lives. The beloved community was active and sharing God’s love with us. Read this week's Grace Notes

  • canned soup
  • canned meats
  • canned fruit
  • toilet paper
  • paper towels
