Mission:
United by faith and service,
St. Anthony of Padua School community forms knowledgeable students who are moral and courageous Catholic leaders.
From Mrs. Pudelko:

  • Our Early Childhood Night is scheduled for March 1st. This is an opportunity for families to take a tour and meet with the preschool, DK and Kindergarten staff. If you have a child who will be entering one of those grades and you'd like to tour, please call or email the school office. We will also be offering our referral form again this year. If you have friends or family who may be interested, please pass along the information. I would love to share more about our programming. The Diocese of Grand Rapids announced last week that they will also be offering Welcome Scholarships for new families with children in preschool and kindergarten. Check out the details here.
  • Please see the sign up link for Parent Teacher Conferences: Winter Conferences. Conferences will be the evening of February 11 and during the day on February 12 (both a virtual and in-person option will be available.) Students will have a virtual day of learning with work posted on Canvas on February 12. This is a change from our original calendar, but with continued concern of the spread of COVID and need to ensure proper time to sanitize classrooms, our Board of Education approved the adjustment for February conferences.

  • HEALTH DEPARTMENT TOOLKIT: The Health Department continues to update the School Toolkit. All parents are encouraged to review these updates here.

While our Catholic Schools Week felt different this year, we've still had a fun week! Our students have won 2 of the 2 challenges against St. Paul the Apostle School. Next up: Classroom Trivia on Friday!
Follow our school Facebook Page: St. Anthony of Padua School to see pictures and videos from the week!
We Live in a Winter Wonderland!
It can be hard to stay active all winter when it is cold outside and it gets dark early. However, it is just as important to exercise during the winter months as it is in the summer. Does your child like to go sledding, build a snow fort or just take a quick walk outside? Can you think of ways your
family can be active inside? Put dance music on, go up and down the stairs a few times, do some stretches or yoga poses, or march in place while you watch TV. These and other activities will get your family off the couch, exercise their hearts, and improve circulation.
Ask your child to show you what they are learning in P.E. Can you do what they have learned to do? Ask them what equipment they like to use in the gym; your school has received lots of new items. Ask them what they did at recess that would count as physical activity.
