STRONG in School Spirit

Did you see Hank the Hawk at our last basketball game? Our school mascot wowed the crowd with an amazing half-time show! His cool moves created great energy in the gym.

Our very own 8th grader, Nora Benjamin, has done a great job taking on this important school role. We are thankful for her school spirit and so proud of how she leads the crowd in cheering on our basketball team.

If you missed Hank the Hawk's half-time show, make sure you join us for our next home game.

Operation Sandwich is a wonderful mission that provides a meal for our friends and neighbors in crisis and struggling with homelessness. Your child will learn about this mission in chapel. It is one of the many missions that Roof Above in Charlotte coordinates. Our goal is for WCA families to prepare 800 sandwiches at home and bring them to the morning carpool on Monday, February 14th. What a wonderful way to celebrate Christ’s love by taking care of our neighbors in need.

Inclement Weather Communication

In the event of school closings or delays due to weather, information will be communicated to our WCA families via email and Remind. This information will also be on our website at weddingtonchristianacademy.org, and on television on WSOC, WCNC, and WBTV.

Flag Football

WUMC is planning an Upward Flag Football Season for boys and girls grades 1st-6th. Evaluations will be on Feb 26 at 9 am. The season will be from March 5 - May 14. Practice and games will be on Saturdays on the fields behind the Family Life Center. The cost is $135.
