Back-to-School Blessings !

Once again this year, IAM is distributing back-to-school clothing for our school-aged neighbors. From July 31st through August 18th, we will provide free school clothes to children ages 4-18. Our Clothing Assistance Department has new and gently used shirts, pants, and shoes - as well as new socks and underwear.

Every child will also receive a special goodie bag of back-to-school surprises!

Please help IAM give underserved children the chance to feel good about their clothing as they head back to school with your financial gifts which will help us purchase more new clothes and shoes for our students. Thanks for supporting our local schoolchildren!

Meet Eva Cruz-Schultz

Please help us welcome our newest team member, Eva Cruz-Schultz. Eva is our new Clothing Assistance Manager.

Eva joins our team with strong retail, nonprofit and volunteer management experience. Her most recent position was manager of Tuesday Morning and she volunteers for nonprofit animal welfare groups.

We are so thrilled that Eva found her way to IAM. Welcome, Eva!

Grateful for Our Community Gardeners!

IAM is extremely grateful to the community gardens who have so generously donated fresh produce from their labors of love to help our neighbors in need!

Several groups including Veterans Healing Farm (pictured), First United Methodist Church of Hendersonville, First Congregational United Church of Christ, and Cummings Cove's Victory Garden have already donated almost 1700 pounds of produce to our pantry this summer!

Fresh produce is critical to the nutritional needs of our neighbors and IAM welcomes donations of produce large and small. Donations are accepted Monday - Thursday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., and Fridays, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Sharing a Neighbor's Thank You Letter

Dear Interfaith Assistance Ministry,

I wanted to let all of you know how incredibly grateful we are to you.

My family is going through rough times, to say the least. I am embarrassed to come in for help, but this is why Interfaith is there to help families. But not to abuse your help.

Thank you so, so much for helping our family and all the other families you assist. You paid $366.00 of my debt. You helped me get out of a bad situation, due to my own negligence.

We are so incredibly thankful and grateful to you. I don’t know how to thank the people who donate to keep your services up. You gave me food and diapers for my grandchildren to use. Thank you is not enough but your generosity to the community is very much appreciated. You allowed us to catch up and start new.

Y’all took time to hear me and tell my side without even knowing us. You helped us out.

I cannot be more thankful to all of your intake people, interviewers, and your food and clothing pantry. All of you were so kind to me and my family.

God Bless your organization and all of you who help on a voluntary basis.

With much thanks and gratitude,

J. A. & Family
