Updated Mask Policy
In light of the rising number of COVID-19 cases in Westchester County and the recent news about the Omicron variant, we ask all members and visitors to adhere to the following rules. These rules apply to individuals over the age of 2:

  • Everyone (vaccinated and unvaccinated) must wear a mask in all common areas, including the lobby, hallways, bathrooms, lockers rooms and in programs with children. Please note: masks must cover the nose and mouth. Neck gaiters and bandanas are not allowed.
  • Unvaccinated members must wear a mask at all times and in all areas of the Rye Y except in the pool.
  • Vaccinated members are strongly encouraged to wear a mask at all times and in all locations. However, vaccinated individuals are allowed to remove their masks while exercising in the Group Exercise Studio, Fitness Center, pools, and during court time in the gymnasium time if they wish.

We will continue to review the ever-changing COVID metrics and make adjustments in our COVID safety protocols as needed.
Social Responsibility
On three consecutive Fridays in November, Rye Y Togetherhood volunteers rolled up their sleeves to help the Port Chester Carver Center feed its neighbors. Our volunteers packed and distributed bags of groceries and organized donations to the Carver Market food pantry. Left to right: Maria, Valerie, Kerri and Mary Ellen. If you would like to get involved with the Y’s Togetherhood community service program, contact Denise Woodin at denisewoodin@ryeymca.org.
