Welcome Sara Toombs Berger

As many of you know Elizabeth West has retired from FC Richmond after serving a combined 20 years as soccer parent, travel team manager and, most recently, Recreational Soccer Coordinator. We cannot thank Elizabeth enough for her service to our club! She has been an amazing asset to FC Richmond across all facets of our club!

Please help us in welcoming Sara Toombs Berger as the new Recreational Soccer Coordinator. We are thrilled to welcome Sara to the FC Richmond family! Sara has been a rec soccer parent at FC Richmond for eight years. Sara brings a wealth of experience in varied areas. She is diving right in and working on team building, assigning coaches, and coach requirements. Elizabeth did a wonderful job transitioning with Sara to provide as much "institutional" knowledge as possible. Sara has a great foundation to make sure that team assignments will go smoothly.

We hope you will take a moment to welcome Sara when you see her on the soccer fields in just a couple short months! In the meantime please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Sara has taken over both the rec soccer email and phone extension so you can reach her the same ways you got in touch with Elizabeth - recreation@fcrichmond.com and 804-823-9191EXT3.

Welcome Lucas Pullini

FC Richmond is pleased to announce our new Director of College Planning, Lucas Paulini! As the Director of College Planning, Lucas will provide our high school players with resources and guidance to navigate the college recruiting process.

Lucas currently serves as an Assistant Coach for the VCU Rams Men’s Soccer team. Prior to coaching the Rams, he spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Houston Baptist University, where he helped guide the program to 17 wins.

Prior to joining HBU, Lucas spent two seasons at Virginia Commonwealth University as the Director of Operations where he assisted in planning and conducting daily training sessions, film breakdown and scouting report development.

Lucas, a VCU Men’s Soccer standout, earned CAA All-First Team honors after just one season. He also earned All-Region recognition in each of his four collegiate seasons. He was the first Ram to sign a professional contract under head coach Dave Giffard. He signed with the Atlanta Silverbacks in 2011 where he played for four seasons.

”We our very happy to welcome Lucas Paulini to the FC Richmond team. Lucas' vast college experience will provide our players and families valuable support and resources necessary to navigate the college recruiting landscape,” shares FC Richmond’s Executive Director, Trip Ellis.

Please help welcome Lucas to the FC Richmond team!
