OUR PARISH MISSION
Christ Church exists to show everyone God loves them unconditionally.
We do that by EXPERIENCING, EMBRACING, AND EXTENDING
God's love.

There are three ways to give to the mission of Christ Church:
you can mail in your pledge, give online, or text GIVE to (850) 403-6673.

We embrace God's love (Study/Formation)

The Bible Project
Throughout the fall, we will use the Bible Project to lead us as we dig deeper into God’s Word. Each week, we will read a book of the New Testament. Click here for the readings and links.
There are four ways to engage in this study:
1.    Disciple track – read highlights of the Bible book over the course of the week.
2.    Scholar track – read the entire Bible book over the course of the week.
3.    Bible Project Videos – watch a short background and overview video on the Bible book covered that week.
Reflection – We will have a weekly social media post with the links and a reflection question as a way to engage with Scripture at home or with others. We would love to hear your thoughts and responses in the comments.

We extend the love of God (Outreach/Parishioner Support)

Montclair Angel Tree
This year, Christ Church is partnering with Montclair Elementary to support students in great need with gifts for Christmas. There is also an opportunity to adopt teachers to provide them with a needed classroom item and a gift of appreciation for the work they do. Too busy or prefer not to shop? No problem! Donations are greatly appreciated via a check made out to Christ Church, clearly marked for the Angel Tree or online (please choose the outreach fund). We will also need volunteers to help sort and transport gifts. To sign up for adopting, volunteering, or donating, please click here, or contact Honey Harris with any questions! Angel Tree gifts are due by Monday, December 13, at 3:00 PM.

Bridging the Gap
Our neighbors without homes are in great need of new or used fall & winter clothes (especially men’s), toiletries including bars of soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, disposable razors, hand sanitizer, wash cloths, socks, and hand cream. Donations can be left in the boxes labeled 'Bridging the Gap' in the back hallway of the church offices. Please click here for more information on how to help.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES
~ Sunday, December 12 ~
Parents: Please walk your children to the Christian Education Building. Enter by the church courtyard and go through the green door marked for your entry. You will follow the footsteps along the hallways to the Christian Education Building. The nursery is on the first floor and Sunday School rooms are upstairs on the second floor. You can pick your children up from their classrooms or nursery following the 10:30 service.

8:00 AM – The Nursery is available for children ages infant through 3-years-old.

9:30 AM – At this time, the Sunday School program is paused. Please join us during the 10:30 AM service for Godly Play for younger children and Journey Through the Bible for our older children.

10:30 AM – During the 10:30 AM service, the Nursery is available for children ages infant through 3 years old, located on the first floor of the Christian Education building.

Godly Play is offered for children in Pre-K 4 through 3rd grade. Children learn the stories of our faith while playing, crafting, and exploring. A snack is offered. This coming Sunday we will complete our Advent lessons with the story of the Shepherds and the Magi coming to see the Christ child. Each Sunday we review so that if a child has missed a lesson, it is easy to catch up. We also have some new Christmas crafts available and prayer boxes to decorate.

Journey Through the Bible is a new curriculum for our 4th and 5th graders. They will journey through the entire Bible the two years of this class, starting with the New Testament this year.
STAY CONNECTED WITH
CHILDREN & FAMILY MINISTRY!
Children and Family Ministry (CFM) has two ways to keep our families connected with Christ Church during the week. CFM is on Instagram, @cckidspensacola, and shares what is happening on Sunday mornings & ideas for how to keep faithful conversations happening during the week. CFM also has a bite-sized weekly email with the "5 Things" our families need to know for the week – Sunday reminders, save the dates, and more. Would you like to be added? Email Victoria to be added to the list!
NEW ADULT EDUCATION CLASS:
"The Way of Love –
Practices for a Jesus-Centered Life"
Sundays ~ 9:15 AM
Matthew writes that the last words of Jesus were, "Go, make of all disciples..." Earlier in the gospel Jesus commanded the disciples to first love God and second to love others. The commands are simple statements, but the implementation can be difficult. The sixth step in "The Way of Love" is summarized by the word GO. Our conversation on Sunday will focus on the ways a disciple might exemplify a life of love and thereby inspire others to become disciples with us. You can join the discussion at 9:15 AM in Room 31 upstairs in the Christian Education building or through the Zoom connection.

CARE IN COMMUNITY
Christ Church is here for you. There are many ministries to love and support the people who are the church. If you are interested in assisting with staying connected to our church family, please email Rev. Katie or call her at the Parish Office, 850-432-5115. It is easy to feel alone or disconnected, so reach out to one of the priests or someone at the church to say hello. Contact Rev.
