Are Your Boundaries Healthy?

Exploring Mental, Emotional, Relational, and Personal Boundaries

During the final week of September, for the fourth consecutive year, HPA hosted a weekend long intensive. Over the years, our topics have been diverse — digging into trust, friendship, and endings. This year we focused on boundaries.

With each retreat, the team becomes more and more efficient — and learning how to balance content and fun is always part of the experience! These retreats have given women specifically the opportunity to show up as female and to just embrace the human side of themselves.

In this month's blog, we share specific takeaways from our introduction of boundaries and surrounding each of four specific types of boundaries.

Leadership Spartanburg

➡️ I have a lot more untapped potential than I ever realized!!

➡️ Leverage my strengths, regulate my weaknesses.

➡️ Ask more questions, be more curious. Instead of jumping to solving problems.

➡️ Not everything I thought was a weakness is actually a weakness.

➡️ It’s ok to be emotional.

Legacy Early College

➡️ Everyone contributes to the team in their own way and we all can use each other's strengths to help us with our weaknesses.

➡️ We all matter, make a difference, and need the talents of others to build a strong team.

➡️ Our differences make us great.

➡️ Don’t be afraid to have needs and be the best you for your team.

➡️ We are better as a team!

HPA Retreats: A Peek Inside Fall 2023!

We had an incredible time in Hilton Head with this group of women who are all looking for personal growth and development. We worked on building a strong back and a soft front + holding space for each other along the journey.

There is something special that happens when a team of individuals takes time away from their normal work settings and comes together in a new setting. By simply getting to an offsite location, people are less distracted and more able to focus on individual and team growth.

Tips & Tools: Podcast on Being Seen

Spiritual Wounding: What It Is and How To Heal

Human beings are created TO BE SEEN. To be witnessed. This is a need. This reality is because you are created in the image of a triune God... a "we" and not an "I."

Where did you get the idea that you don't deserve empathy? That you don't deserve to be seen. Without a witness, it's impossible to fully heal.
