It Starts with NO!
SE Health recently hosted an event to discuss the future of aging. Dawn was invited and had the pleasure to participate with others not only in the senior care industry but also with those from the public library, youth services, and more.

In speaking about continuing care, Dawn discussed why we should say no to institutionalized care for seniors.
Keeping Cool in the Summer While Enjoying the Outdoors
With summers in Alberta not only being short but also unpredictable, we like to make the best of it and give our elders as many experiences we can!

For tips on keeping your elders safe during the summer months, read the article linked below.
Serving lunch outside!
Floating in the pool!
Cooling off with Slurpees!
Basketball in the pool!
Scavenger hunt!
Connect Four on deck!

Can You be Too Old to Learn Something New?
SE Health asked their Elizz readers what they thought about the statement:
'I am too old to learn new things'. Their unanimous response was heartwarming.

SE goes on to discuss how to exercise your brain, going out of your comfort zone, and how lifelong learning is for everyone at every age.
