Welcome Elite Sport and Spine Center

Meet one of GMBA’s newest members, Dr. Lavell Handy! Dr. Handy recently founded Elite Sport and Spine Center, specializing in chiropractic care, dry needling and physiotherapy.

A 2012 graduate of George Mason University with a BS in Kinesiology, Dr. Handy was also an All-American in track and field. During his four years at GMU he worked at Walter Reed Medical Center in the Injury Prevention Research Lab where he gained valuable experience in biomechanics, rehab, and physical therapy.
Dr. Handy earned his doctorate, Summa Cum Laude, from Palmer College of Chiropractic. While at Palmer he worked with the Daytona Broncos football team as well as volunteered at Brooks Rehab Adaptive Sports where he assisted their clients who have had life changing injuries.

He completed a rotation at the Veteran’s affairs hospital in Augusta, Georgia and he worked closely
with members of the military on complex musculoskeletal conditions. In addition, Dr. Handy accumulated several hundreds of hours of Gonstead-specific chiropractic training and spinal rehabilitation.
When he isn’t helping people in his new state of the art facility in Merrifield, Dr. Handy can be found spending time with his wife, their new baby and their 10-year-old daughter, coaching, hiking or working with special needs kids.

He looks forward to helping you feel like yourself again, using scientifically validated treatment to solve your health problems.
