Phoenix Boats History On Display |

Phoenix Boats recently held their annual family picnic, and had a bit of history on display. The first ever Phoenix, which was built in 2007 and the 10,000th Phoenix to come off of the line were both in attendance. Phoenix Boats is a Tennessee corporation founded in 2007 by bass anglers for bass anglers. It has risen to become known as one of the industry leaders in quality and innovation. It is headquartered in Winchester, Tennessee, in a modern 150,000 square foot facility located on 52 acres. Phoenix has become one of the most popular boats in recent years. Not The First, But Hopefully The Last |

The recent cheating scandal in the walleye tournament fishing world brings up bad memories of the 2010 WON Bass U.S. Open and Mike Hart. For those who are unfamiliar with the incident involving Southern California pro bass fisherman Mike Hart, he was caught stuffing sinkers down the throats of the bass he caught, a similar tactic used by the cheating walleye anglers. Tournament officials discovered some of the weights early in the three-day tournament inside the few dead fish Hart had weighed in, but waited until the final day to confront Hart. All five of the fish Hart checked in after the final day contained weights. Hart, who had made more than $200,000 during his career at the time admitted to cheating. With news of the recent walleye tournament incident turning up on TMZ, The New York Times, and Fox News among others it is evident that the power of social media has had on getting the word out.
