Dear Residents -

Tomorrow is the day when the Irish and Orangetown come together at the Palisades Credit Union Park. Make sure you get your tickets today - to listen to the music of the Narrowbacks and watch me throw out the first pitch. I promise you will be entertained (likely at my expense).

This past week, I had the pleasure of judging the annual garden contest at the Nyack Community Garden. I am not sure how my fellow judges (Laura Rothschild, Nyack Planning Board, Diane McPherson, Former Gardener, Tony Scott, Owner of DPNP and Jennifer Guinta, Owner of Cottage Creek Gardens) felt, but for me, who definitely does not have a green thumb, it was difficult choosing which garden should get first, second or third in each category. I thought all the gardens looked great and had their own unique style. Congrats to all the winners!

The weatherman is calling for a perfect summer day tomorrow, temperatures in the 80's and low humidity. Get out, walk the rail trail, go to Piermont, take a hike along Nyack Beach, or play golf – then head up to the ball park to enjoy the music and baseball game between the New York Boulders and the Washington Wild Things.
