A new year, a new career with the help of JFS
The JFS Women's Center provides dedicated ladies with tuition assistance for job training programs to help them get back on their feet. One Women's Center member, Jonelle, sent a joyful to email to Program Coordinator Lisa:

"Hello Lisa!! Hope everything is well on your end. I got a job a few months ago! I've been working non-stop as a pharmacy tech along with taking care of my son. Always so busy! Today I had a chance to go over some emails and came across your message. Now that I finally have a routine going it's hard to stay in touch. Lisa, just know that I will always be thankful for your support and help, and of course I'm grateful for JFS. Enjoy the holidays and Happy New Year, stay safe!"

We're so proud of Jonelle, who successfully completed her pharmacy tech courses and landed a great job. The JFS Career and Women's Centers make it our mission to empower jobseekers though individualized programs. Support from the community is vital to helping budding professionals in their new careers. Please visit our website to donate so that ladies like Jonelle can independently support themselves and their families. Thank you!
More new beginnings for 2022
Olga, a young woman and former refugee who came to JFS for help with her husband's immigrant visa application, was anxiously awaiting his arrival, struggling through USCIS delays and embassy closings. JFS Immigration Program Director Debby held Olga's hand throughout the whole process. Finally, after many months of nervous anticipation, Olga's application was approved. Last week, she wrote to Debby, "Hi!!! I just want to let you know that everything was great with my husband. He is picking up his visa on Tuesday!! Thank you so much for your help but mostly for your patience."
At JFS, we keep families together through our immigration and citizenship services. Visit our website to learn more or to make a donation that helps build stronger communities.
