Dear Magnificat Community,

I hope you and your loved ones are healthy and doing well during this new year.

We are grateful that we have been able to continue on with our in-person learning model during the second semester, which also gives students the option to stream their classes if they prefer. We are very fortunate that this model and our comprehensive safety measures continue to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among members of our community. Thank you for all you continue to do to support our students, families, faculty, and staff as we move through these difficult times together.

On this first day of Black History Month, Magnificat joins with schools across the country to celebrate Black culture and the important contributions of the Black community throughout history and today. Stay tuned to Magnificat social media this month to see the activities our Student Equity Group will be leading to lift up Black women inventors, artists, activists, and Catholic leaders!

As we enter into the sacred season of Lent later this month, I pray that—in these times of great challenge—we may all come to more deeply understand how the gifts of the Holy Spirit fortify us and draw us closer to one another as we journey together in hope.
