Welcome Coach Peeler!

Please join us in welcoming Sterling Peeler (COACH PEELER) as WCA's new PE Teacher.

Coach Peeler began teaching PE classes last week and enjoyed meeting all of our Hawks for the first time. He comes to us with recommendations from WUMC and lots of coaching experience. Coach Peeler has been an active member at WUMC for 18 years. He has faithfully served the church as a youth assistant for eight years, Sunday school teacher for four years, and children's ministry assistant for three years. His coaching experience includes coaching Upward basketball for six years and WCWAA baseball for four years. Coach Peeler was a stay-at-home Dad to 3 boys for 11 years. He enjoys working with youth and children and is looking forward to getting to know our students. We are truly blessed to have him join our WCA family.

STRONG Helping Hands!

WCA's 5th and 6th graders are great helpers. Whenever we have a school event to prepare for, they are always free to lend a helping hand. Last week, they moved tables, chairs, and dividers to set up for our home basketball game. They worked together quickly, efficiently, and with smiles on their faces. Our Hawks have great servant hearts!

WCA families have until January 16, 2022 to complete the re-enrollment process. After that date, we cannot guarantee your child's space at WCA next year unless you have registered them through re-enrollment in Family Portal.

Flag Football

WUMC is planning an Upward Flag Football Season for boys and girls grades 1st-6th. Evaluations will be on Feb 26 at 9 am. The season will be from March 5 - May 14. Practice and games will be on Saturdays on the fields behind the Family Life Center. The cost is $135.
