'Tis the season……to dream of racing!
...at least your Lake Ontario Offshore Racing committee is!!
Congratulations to all the racers who were on the water last season.
Having successfully organised three distance races during the recent 2020 Racing Season, we are getting ready for 2021. The dates are set, NOR's are being crafted, and logistics are well in hand.
The LOOR Committee is meeting every month to plan for a full racing season in 2021. If it can happen we will make it happen! We have reached out to racers who had much to say about our modified racing last season and we hope to add some interesting changes in the near future.
The LO600 is Back in 2021
Great news for all those long-long distance racers, the LO600 returns in 2021. The Lake Ontario 600 Challenge has been held every second year since 2014, providing the opportunity to circumnavigate Lake Ontario twice.
LOSHRS Awards Banquet
The LOSHRS Awards Banquet which would normally take place in a few months will obviously not happen, but don’t despair. We have flags for the winners of the races we held last season and are planning for the distribution of those flags. Once the winners have their flags, we are going to hold a virtual awards banquet to celebrate those winners. Stand by for details.
