It's the same Amazon you know with the same products, prices, and shopping features as Amazon.com. The difference is that when you shop on AmazonSmile, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price of eligible products to the charitable organization of your choice. Of course, we hope you'll choose Center for the Women of New York!
In coalition with 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence,
CWNY released its report on Global Domestic Violence Increases in Natural and Man-Made Disasters.
16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign that kicks off on November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until December 10, Human Rights Day. It was started by activists at the inaugural Women’s Global Leadership Institute in 1991 and continues to be coordinated each year by the Center for Women’s Global Leadership.
The Cocktails and Art Night was a wonderful kick off of our Art Sale and Auction. Visual artist Argie Agelarakis, violinist Erica Quach, and actress and professional performer Stewart Hamilton were a great inspiration to our audience. Argie's beautiful artwork, Erica's lovely music, and Stewart's engaging presence brought a much needed moment of brightness.
The conversation about The Power of Financial Independence ~ COVID & Beyond with featured speakers Patricia Fulton and Anna-Marie Vallone from First Central Savings Bank was a great success.
