Greetings!
The holiday season is a time for us all to take a break, reflect on the past and get excited about what lies ahead. 2020 has been a most unusual year for many of us here in San Mateo County - and beyond.
A year of loss - but also resilience,
A year of social and environmental havoc - but also unprecedented solidarity and
A year that, despite of (or perhaps because of) all the hardship, also spurred incredibly bold commitments and exemplary stories of courage and hope.
I am inspired by every single one of you and all the individual and collective actions you take to make the county a better place - now and in the future. From my neighbor who has been cooking meals to feed hungry people to one of our contractors who has completed a stunning native landscaping and rain catchment project - and more. Thank you for caring.

Stay safe. Breathe. Take some time to recharge and be present.
May your holidays be full of warmth and cheer!
