Praise God! The Youth helped pack 33 boxes for Operation Christmas Child! We also got to hear of how God uses these boxes to share the love of Christ around the world. ROOTs is our yearly winter retreat. It is a time to enjoy a weekend at camp with local students from PCA churches in our area. CampToKnow him offers a weekend of fun, relationship building, and hearing from God's word. Registration is now open. Students talk with your parents and ask them whether they think the retreat is something you can do this year.  When: January 21st-23rd (Friday 4:30 - Sunday Noon) Who: 6th-12th Grade Cost is $132 ($120 camp and $12 for a T-shirt) you can do just the flat $120. Please submit checks to "Westminster Presbyterian Church" memo line marked ROOTs. We never want cost to stand between a student and an opportunity for the Word and fellowship. Pray for Sarah Catherine Lauderdale as she recovers and does physical therapy following her car wreck. Pray for Jay as he cares for his wife. Praise that Jackson Hammond had a successful procedure on his arm and continue to pray for a fast recovery. Pray for our wonderful youth leaders who love and serve our students. Pray for the Ensleys as they have had an offer accepted on a home. Pray for a smooth process and for the Lord to be over timing and all paperwork. Ask for the location to be one of love and hospitality for the youth.

Week 2 Heart Prep Devotional God Redeemed his People  Scripture: Exodus 15–18 Bible Truth: God led his people in the wilder- ness, where he tested, protected, and provided for them. Lesson Aims: 1) To understand that God tests our faith. 2) To believe that God provides for our needs. 3) To trust God to provide for us every day. Memory Work: “You have led in your steadfast love the people whom you have redeemed; you have guided them by your strength to your holy abode.” - Exodus 15:13 7th-8th grade classes this quarter God's Promises: Genesis-Exodus Lesson 13  Scripture: Exodus 12-15 God Rescued the Israelites from Egypt God made a distinction between the Egyptians and the Israelites by accepting a lamb--with its blood applied to the doorframe--as a substitute for the death of his covenant people's firstborn sons. God delivered Abraham's descendants from slavery and punished his enemy and theirs, keeping his covenant promise he had made centuries before.  The Passover Lamb pointed ahead to Jesus, the Lamb of God, whose blood covered our sins and decisively defeated his and our enemy, Satan.
