River Roundup 2021

The 31st River Roundup 2021 just ended! It was successful, small and intimate. Special thanks goes out to the volunteers who were our general disinfectants and digital thermometer readers. Even with COVID-19 service positions were needed. If any one is looking for a great experience this is a wonderful opportunity to do service work from the newcomer to the old timer. Stay tune for more in the year to come to help with 2022 River Roundup.

The River Roundup is the main support for Central Office in Bullhead City. Our office helps Bullhead City, Fort Mohave, Lake Havasu City, Parker, Needles, Laughlin. 31 years of helping A.A. and Al-Anon members. The Committee would like to that all who help and participated.

Thinking about the importance of Unity

There is no such thing as real or pure AA. The program has been full of uncertainty and missteps and awkward fumbling's from the very beginning. So let's embrace AA-the whole mess-and keep on going.
Our common welfare comes first; personal recovery depends on AA Unity. What a concept, this is Traditions. One of the ways I have found to learn about traditions is by having a discussion topics.
Here are some good topic examples:
  1. "What are some examples you have seen of members or groups not following the Traditions?"
  2. What are some ways the Traditions have helped guide your group in a business meeting?
  3. What is your favorite Traditions?
  4. How have the traditions changed the way you work or play?

Sponsoring Others

The special one-on-one bond of sharing experience and time!
Some of us find a person and ask to sponsor us and some of us get a sponsor who we did not like or ask and still get sober. Bottom-line we keep the hand of AA extended, we tell our stories, we try to carry the message, we remain humble, we do not get disheartened, and never give up.

Does your homegroup have an
Intergroup Representative?

Intergroup meeting are held monthly at the Central Office for Tri-States. The location is 603 Marina Blvd, Bullhead City, AZ 86439. The purpose of the River Cities Intergroup is to provide a forum for the interchange of ideas between groups. Does your group have an intergroup rep to give your group a voice at the meetings.
Duties of a intergroup representative is as follows:
  • To attend all monthly meetings or have an alternate.
  • Vote on matter presented to the Intergroup
  • Report back to the group about the meeting
  • Most important to have fun in service work!

In our Tri-States area we lost a long time member of AA. With great sadness, may he rest in peace Matt H. A time for a prayer for his family during these difficult times.
