A message from our Missions Pastor
Hey Legacy Family,
I wanted to start off by saying thank you for welcoming me and my family through the transition to this position. You all have been so supportive and kind to Jonah, Josiah, Jessica, and me. I truly feel the love of Christ through your welcome, prayers, and well wishes!
I have to say the generosity and passion for missions of this church is amazing and I am more than excited to play a role in what the Lord has planned within missions here at Legacy. The things which you have been able to accomplish through your giving has helped support all of our partners locally and globally through the season of Covid. I partner with them and our Legacy Church staff to say, "thank you for being sensitive to the mission of Christ Jesus through your faithful giving!"
As you all continue in your faithfulness, I commit to you as your new Missions Pastor to provide updates as to what we have accomplished and what is to come through a Legacy Missions Newsletter. In this newsletter you will be able to celebrate the wins, find out where to get involved, and learn more about our mission spotlight.
My desire in this role is to see the love of Christ, which we operate in, extend within the City of Plano, and to our Global partners and beyond!
How do we get there?
- We get there through our prayers for the community we live in, all of our partners, and different countries. Through the trust we have in Christ Jesus, I am confident He will extend His hand to others’ needs.
- We continue our faithful giving.
- We continue to strengthen our relationships with our partners.
- We find out the needs within our community and see how the Lord will use us to meet those needs.
- We continue to find partners or projects in other countries to advance the Gospel message so others may receive Christ Jesus!
I am excited for this new season and I pray you are as well. I cannot wait to see how the Lord will use us as a church family when it comes to missions! Please, after you read this letter, if you could take just a moment and pray for our external focus as a church.
Thank you again!
Blessings,
Patrick Iga
